After watching the first five minutes of that Gianbomb QL, I'm totally on board and will buy it later today.

Yeah, this looks neat.

What's up with all these Adult Swim produced indie games being awesome?  Talk about unexpected.

Adult Swim picked this up as it was already in development, they can have credit for having great taste, but not necessarily  for making great games.

Well, I think that's what they've been doing for some of their other releases as well.  But whatever it is, they seem to know how to pick them.  I mean just a month ago there was a ton of buzz about their last release, Westerado, the Westwood Blade Runner-ish procedurally generated murder mystery sandbox western.

So, this game is basically what would happen if you put Sam and Max in a blender with Airplane and the Naked Gun, sprinkled peyote on it and then mixed in some acid for good measure, hit puree, and then injected the resulting smoothie into your eyeballs.

In other words, it's fucking awesome.

I skipped through the Giantbomb video (not really into those guys).. though I missed a lot I think... what is the point of the game? Is it one of those indie games where you just walk around in cool/trippy environments or is there actually a game in there?

The objective is to have as much fun as possible.

But yeah, it does actually have objectives and side quests that you can accomplish, but it feels secondary to just mucking around and finding all the weird little things you can do in each area.

Take notes, Stanley Parable and other wankery "not-games": this is how you do it. If you're going to have a minimum of gameplay, turn the crazy up to 11, light it on fire, and then throw a bunch of funny on top. Pull your head out of your ass and quit trying to be art, feggits.

Someone buy this for me so I can laugh my ass off and fall out of my chair causing the great quake of 2014. Is there any other places selling a steam code for this game?

Don't take it too personally. You'd probably look less "stupid and lame" if you took the time to actually explain what your issue with the game is, or at least spare us entirely of your opinion instead of shitposting.

I dunno, it just looks random and wacky for the sake of it. Not surprised AS picked it up since their live action shit is basically the same thing. Couldn't even tell what the gameplay was supposed to be in the OP videos. Same thing as OctoDad. I guess if you can't think of fun gameplay you smoke weed and come up with the trippiest shit possible as a gimmick.

It's an adventure game
where you get items
and then use items
and then something funny happens

Sounds pretty meh, tbh. But I was never one for adventure games (the 90's equivalent of "hollywood" emulation in gaming.)

Someone tell fandrex that adventure games have a long history of showing up on Nintendo consoles (Maniac Mansion on the NES, for the love of god) and that it's available on linux and suddenly it's his favorite game...

Fucking truth- its Stanley Parable without the hipster gamer cynicism. It hasn't forgotten that games are supposed to be fun- and clearly has embraced the challenge of being smart AND fun.
