Will test this out later but it does look a bit half assed judging from the video. A lot of really off looking blocks and textures there, and the skybox doesn't work with the 8bit style . There was a FPS version of Zelda 2 recently that, while not perfect, does a much better job at conveying the 8bit tone in a 3d space. That version ran in Unity3d so I would like to see someone port that over to the Rift.

For some reason i dont associate Retro to Nintendo the same way that i dont associate Monolith Soft with Nintendo.  Nintendo havent made a thing catered to adults in the last decade.  Though i guess Retro too considering they made those crappy DK games.

I was so annoyed when retro was making donkey Kong wii u and not a first person Zelda. :(

I would play a first person 3D Dot Game Heroes though.
