If you're talking about shit like Chevy's, co-signed to the moon and back.
Its not bad tasting, just not as good as the real shit. I hope you feel the same way about general tsos snd all that takeout chinese.... motherfucker.
:ufup
Who said anything about the real shit?
And Chinese food tastes and looks delicious.
See those pics above? That's Tex mex.
Americanized chinese food is the same tier as tex mex.
I know what tex mex is.

I meant I don't eat at lame chain restaurants that are designed to make old white people to feel comfortable. You gonna give me flack for not eating at El Chicho or On the Border too? :gurl

Can someone explain what tex mex is so I can recall if I've partaken in it before.Everything that's called mexican food in the middle of the country
I still have no idea wtf the difference between tex mex and the real shit is. every damn Mexican restaurant I been to around here looks sorta like the shit himu posted. is there some secret magical foods that real places have or is it similar to tex mex but with better flavor
I wouldn't call Torchy's tex mex. It's not authentic but it uses proper flank steak instead of ground beef in their tacos. They might also have some crazy shit on top but it's not covered in slightly spicy gravy and melted velveeta so it ain't tex mex.We went to torchy's for my bday, me and mups :aah
Well that shit is definitely tex mex :gurl there are more authentic things available on the menu there but ... :gurl
That reply from the same person claiming I'm mad. :aah
Nothing has been said about Americanization or authentencity. I don't care if something has been Americanized. I care if something is GOOD. Do you really think pizza for instance, is it in its purest form in America? No! And who cares? Pizza is great! The same goes for things like ramen. Cup ramen is not the same thing as real ramen you'd get at a ramen place. But it is still great.
Tex Mex looks and tastes like crap.
I don't care how many threads I make on it! :aah
good god cup ramen is like eating styrofoam in dirty water after eating the real thing. the quality gap is fucking staggering and is almost the same damn situation as this tex mex rant you're on.
Went to Chevys for dinner just to spite you motherfuckers. It was probably the best Chevys I've ever had.did you get provel on your tacos??
FRESH MEX
This Chevy's...
It is not in Tex, so how would it be the Mex of Tex? ???
I meant I don't eat at lame chain restaurants that are designed to make old white people to feel comfortable. You gonna give me flack for not eating at El Chicho or On the Border too? :gurl
But that is the core of Tex mex. Tex mex mostly IS chain mexican food. Non chain Mexican is usally not Tex Mex. Are there really any non chain Tex mex places? Tex mex is the most popular style of Mexican food in America.

:comeon
California chain with no Texas locations = "TexMex?"

FRESH MEX
Chevys has good salsa and chips, I wouldnt give them much else. Im forced to eat their stuff a lot whenever I work with the pharm guys, they love that shit. I also like their chicken flautas with jalapeno jelly I guess. Its the applebees/olive garden of tex mex. The rest is...

Pappasito's is dog shit. You're nuts and have the taste buds of dead person.
This is such bullshit, take a trip to Texas breh and try some of the local tex-mex joints...OMG, IMO just as good if not better takes on traditional mexican dishes. Also Pappasito's is such a fantastic tex-mex chain, wow so hungry now.:rofl :rofl

Saying this to people that live in Texas
:rofl
Pappasitos is horrible even by Tex Mex standards dude. There's way better tex mex options in Texas if you really wanna go down that road.
Now Pappadeaux's? Oh shit :hyper
Next month we're moving to a new building for work, right next to a Chevys. First day I'm just going to get a pint of salsa to-go and loudly crunch chips at my desk all day. No fucks given.chips and salsa!!

Florida Mexican food is shit. You've got all these Cubans and shit, saying their food is Mexicanos and blargh. Go to a local authentic Mexican taqueria. Order a burrito and two tacos.
I haven't been to southern Florida. I've been to central though. Lived there quite a few years. Didn't like a single Mexican joint there too much. I ate a bit of Mexican there since Mexican is my favorite food and most were solid. I guess I shouldnt say it was bad, it was p. decent. Loved the Cuban and Puerto Rican too. That said, Florida had better Mexican than North Carolina or New York City.
