with ps4 and xbone already revealed this looks like it will have the potential to be the worst e3 since a while, but you know nintendo will turn it out around when they announce a new zelda game where you use the wii u pad to quilt the most realistic plushie the world has ever seen!

are you tv, sports, excited? :hyper
-
Worst? Seems like it could easily be the best with all two of them out there trying to prove themselves. Should see some cool things.
-
Looking forward to see how they bring their big guns.
-
Damn, time flies.
Let's do some non-commital (possibly stupid) bets.
- Kinect-less Xbone SKU instead of a price-drop
- no news of The Last Guardian/Toriko
- no mention of PS Vita at "look at these numbers" slides (had to work it in somehow, dunno if they even still wank on diagrams there)
-
I think it'll be a decent E3.
-
If it's at all anagolous to last gen, it'll be when third parties push current gen games. Maybe. Though most things announced or rumored are boring. I'd like to see deus ex 4 somewhere.
speaking of vita, I wouldn't mind it if gravity daze 2 is a Ps4 game. Or both, whatever.
-
Someone will announce a last gen exclusive that gets nerds everywhere mad. I feel it in my bones.
-
No exciting games will be announced
i will look back at this post come E3 and feel good for being right
-
I'm getting too old to get hyped for E3. :fbm
I'll read about the new games and subsequently forget about them until I grab them on a Steam sale a few years later. :fbm
-
Very, very true. All the games that would get me excited about E3 are still years away from being announced, and those are few and far between anyways.

Yeah. I'm still a sucker for a good trailer though.
-
Don't care whatsoever.
Wish there was an indie version of E3.
-
You've just been there.
-
You've just been there.
And what a glorious fucking convention it was. :rejoice
PAX East definitely needs to get even MORE indie though. Fewer big pubs, fewer tabletop crap, just all indies all the time :rock
-
I'm pretty sure plenty of exciting games are going to get announced at this E3.
-
Couldn't care. The stuff I'm interested in is either just releasing (Dark Souls 2, PC port) or still coming in the next year or two (Psychobreaker/Evil Within, The Division, MGS5, Mirror's Edge 2).
I doubt most new stuff will be OMG worthy for me. Though, I'm sure Battlefield 5 will be announced this E3 and like a sucker I'll be hyped for it only for it to be more broken than BF4. :-\
-
I'm not expecting anything huge. Hoping for a Fallout 4 announcement and some good new trailers.
-
hoping we see Dishonored 2, Prey 2, and maybe Hidetaka Miyazaki's new thing
-
I think MS will show a bit more/do a bit better than expected, Sony a bit worse, and Nintendo could go either way. Would love to see a megaton or two, or a P5 trailer (yeah right).
-
reminder that MS said last years conference was "more games" and look waht happened
-
I will be there!
-
Squeenix will be there to show off more non-gameplay for games that should have been out already
and it will be the highlight of the show! i know because it was the highlight of last year
3DS will probably get the bulk of what's interesting
last year was so boring regarding 3DS software, they've kinda run of IP to do too unless they outsource another starfox game
-
I will be there!
Get me some good swag, Bz.
-
There's going to be a ton of good stuff this year. Not sure if it will match the "excitement" of last year's but it will be a far superior show guaranteed.
These days I look forward to e3 more because it's a good gauge of industry health if you can read between the lines.
Fundamentally you're right since E3 is a trade show who's main purpose is to sell giant shipment of product to vendors but none of that is available to the public and unless you're involved in the deals you'll never hear about it. It's a good show though and not a bad reflection of how a company is doing.
Since I'm not privy to the actual hardcore vendor negotiations I find that GDC is my best barometer since the entire industry is there and it's really the pulse of the industry. Although not as secretive as E3, at the very least the public gets a peek at the mountain of deals/contracts/scuttlebut that goes on every minute of the day at GDC.

let me guess, another zelda with fugly graphic style and same mechanics as before.
-
They need to finally move on to E4 already

I have a question for you. Why is every new pokemon game more boring than the last one? IMO the best ones are the original ones.

Have you played the originals recently?
-
A few years ago i did.
-
What about them didn't you find boring, and what about the new games bored you?

It was just that everything was quick. Combat lasted like 5 seconds. In newer games it is like they stretched everything.

That's been a problem since Gen 4. Even with animations on, Gen 2 (which was slow, admittedly) and Gen 3(which was faster and probably the fastest the series has been) wasn't as slow as 4 on has been.
Really, what drags the series for me is the fact they let you "cross-gen" your Pokemon, but they don't even bother to "check to see if you've beaten the gyms before" and give you the new gym badges as "well, here. Go grind and collect"/breaking the single-player.
There's only so many times I can run the line and get badges before I get burned out/bored of it.

Believe.
