Nationally acclaimed evangelist John Luther is the last obstacle in the way of sweeping religious reform in the States. When a U.S. Senator and Luther's own supporters abduct and frame him in the murder of an innocent teenage girl, an unprecedented era of persecution is unleashed. Out on personal recognizance, Luther escapes police surveillance in search of the truth. And suddenly, a once-normal life is targeted by a team of ex-military operatives who wage a relentless campaign to eliminate the incriminating evidence. As evangelist turned fugitive, Luther vows to expose anyone involved with or profiting from the girl's murder; a mission that brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that will threaten the entire Christian community in America.

Starring Raiden from Mortal Kombat: Annihilation comes another ripped-from-the-headlines story.
-
And the head of the Susan Ross Foundation plays another evil Senator.
-
James Remar has played a ridiculous number of villains, lets get him as the hero for this evangelical wank fest, they're the only people who haven't seen him teach Dexter.

I sincerely don't understand the message (beyond a vague "religious people are persecuted", I guess) of this film.

Fucking psuedochristians and their persecution complexes. When's the last time one of you were executed or even merely arrested for your faith in this country? Oh, that's right, fucking never!

Every time I hear their crap I just bring up anti-abortion violence and ask who's really persecuted. Or just simply say the name George Tiller.

At 0:54 Dexter's dad is cosplaying as the main character from PROTOTYPE?
Also LMFAO at the so-called persecution of christians making the leap to the big screen. Hopefully god is laughing as well.

I love how on the american netflix there is a separate genre for 'spirituality n faith' or whatever. And they all seem like they're indie films from a small fistful of companies.
