Boston Herald's Brett Arends got an advance look at a new American Research Group poll from New Hampshire that shows Sen. John McCain’s popularity among New Hampshire’s independent voters "has collapsed.
"For seven years, conventional wisdom has said that the state’s pivotal independent voters would line up behind maverick Sen. John McCain, as they did so famously in the 2000 GOP primary. But new polling data, to be released later this week, will suggest that might no longer be the case."
Said ARG's Dick Bennett: "John McCain is tanking. That’s the big thing [we’re finding]. In New Hampshire a year ago he got 49 percent among independent voters. That number’s way down, to 29 percent now.”
Even more worrying for the McCain campaign is that ARG "is finding a similar trend in other states polled, including early primary battlegrounds like Iowa and Nevada."
:(McCain is a right wing wacko, Bush league stuff and the public is coming around.
...
POLLS MEAN LITTLE
:(Edwards has been rising in the polls.
Edwards will probably commit suicide or get caught robbing a bank within the next 4 years. His political career is over, especially with Obama looking like the token VP of choice
John Edwards leading his Democratic rivals in Iowa with 27% of the vote. Sen. Barack Obama is next with 17%, and Sen. Hillary Clinton ties former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack with 16%.
Damn I knew Edwards was ahead but I didn't think he was that far ahead. I'd expect him to do well in Iowa and similar states while Hillary and Obama will duke it out in places like MichiganHe is ahead in 3 out of the first 4 states(Iowa, SC, and Nevada). He is the underdog to watch out for.

Oh and Michigan is likely Hillary or Obama country, agreed. Regardless who wins overall I have a hunch Obama will take Michigan. He is a local boy being the only other front runner from the mid-west and he probably has the Detroit area locked.
Bill Clinton and Barack Obama both did rallies for Granholm last fall.
Which had the bigger turnout? Obama.
No way id vote for psycho bitch hillary, that being said the last two elections have proven America doesnt give a rats ass what WA State thinks, s FUK IT ALL lol.In the last election WA was Democrat in how it voted, as was the majority of the country.
