This describes my problem with rap in general. When everyone started to rap in their "rap voice" instead of how they actually talk. It could be the nerdiest yale educated white guy suddenly starts sounding like he's from south georgia when rapping to make it sound credible.

As always referencing the mainstream stuff. (Which is what 95% of people listen to anyway)

Yup, the shift is coming brehs. The concept of the "cosign" is pretty much dead now, anyone can release something and blow up thanks to the internet - especially if they have a label behind the scenes pulling the strings. Macklemore no doubt led many industry people to remember there's a very large market for "middle class" raps with a marketable face and catchy production. Iggy's first single was all about the "hard work" she put in while in Miami, which I assume actually means "I fucked a lot of rich dudes." Expect more every day raps from Macklemore/Lorde/etc clones in the future brehs.

I'm not even mad. I'm tired of the non-stop molly n pills n drank stuff. Although I do like that the strict 808 trap shit is on its way out, being replaced by more melodic shit people can dance to.
