The lady said she would pass it on to the Marketing Director and that he would call me back today or tomorrow, but I'm not really expecting much.

bring a glass dildo and when they ask that question, push it past your tonsils. INSTA-HIRE.
-
You're horrible. You know what your best skill is? Sending out packages. Better brush up on that before our interview.
-
"Eating out HR pussy."
That would have landed you the job.
-
Choose from these:
1. I am always on time and strive to finish assignments on schedule
2. I am a very likable person, I get along with just about anyone.
3. I have X degree wich qualifies me for this job.
The question is pretty much open to anything. Just sell yourself to them.
-
The correct reply: "I can't describe it well, but Master sir, if you hire me, you will see my MAD SKILLZ!" :D
-
Actually, the answer I'd give is: "well, I'm an excellent web designer and developer, and I'd hope I'd be able to contribute significantly to this company using the skills I've developed in that area. If you're talking about non-technical skills, though, I think " <pick a strong interpersonal skill> " is my strongest quality and it really contributes to my success in this position because " <insert explanation relating interpersonal skill to position> "."

That came to me the minute I hung up the phone. I slapped my forehead. I wrote it down to memorize during the actual interview.

I know someone who can do that. He's a straight man, too. Beat me in a dildo-deepthroating contest.

Er, on topic, Doug's serious answer is the best one. I would go with "My overall dedication to the task at hand is my biggest strength as an employee. Once I begin something, I am determined to meet or beat a deadline with work of the highest quality."
Or something like that. Honestly, cheesy shit like that WORKS. Stand in front of a mirror and say shit like that before an interview until YOU believe yourself; then it won't be so lame sounding when it comes out of your mouth in an interview. I'm about to get hired into a new field with little to no experience at the kind of job I'll be doing, and I'm convinced it's because I decided to give up on waiting for a sane employer and just play the game. So it goes.

if you get asked that question again, just give the ":-*" face.
