Title: TVC's vomit journal

Today I threw up at approximately 7:30am. In the future I'll make note of the specific time of the vomiting so as to make these journal entries more accurate. Anyway, I vomited after I accidentally gagged myself while brushing my teeth. This isn't the usual morning vomit routine that I tend to follow. I like to vomit before I brush my teeth, for obvious reasons, but today it felt like I might be able to get away with not throwing up. So I skipped right to brushing, and about 30 seconds in it became apparent that I shouldn't be fucking around with my mouth, but I persevered. Things went south when I went in to brush my tongue--not particularly shocking. It was mostly acrid and acidic, not much fluid as I've been dehydrated due to medicine lately. Because of that, it was tough to all get out, and I was left dry heaving for some time.

I discussed it with my previous one, but not my current one. Investigations kind of went nowhere, and in the end he figured it was something GERD-y. I've since developed thyroid issues, which is one of the things we had checked out and is a source for vomit-y problems, but it works in reverse, too. The puking could be causing the thyroid problems. I don't really care--an extra pill a day for my thyroid is just another addition to the cereal bowl of pills I consume every day.

My teeth aren't so bad, but I have to make sure I'm 100% on top of them when it comes to care because everything bad possible gets worse faster. The real problem with my teeth is that I need orthodontic shit done and I don't wan to pay for it.

This was my usual morning vomit, which hasn't been happening the past few days. I actually prepare for this vomit the night before by 1) not eating anything after ~8:00pm and 2) drinking a lot of water. This ensures that the vomit will contain no food and flow out easier. As I mentioned before, medication has been making me dehydrated lately, so there's a careful balancing act of making sure I drink enough water but not drink so much that I have to wake up to pee.

As a special vomit tip, I used some of the last vomit to swallow some pills this morning. Since I kind of vomit in spurts, it's pretty easy to tell when the last of it is on deck in my throat.

So then I had to go Google how to induce vomiting because clearly I was missing something (spoilers: it was water and hard work). Eventually I did yak, but I had to Google how to do it. :snoop

Thankfully this was a helpful skill to have learned when I had frequent hangovers. Take control of your bodies brehs.

Woke up in the middle of the night because I had to pee. I think I was still a little wobbly from my night meds because I totally hurled a little bit. Maybe a cup or two of vomit. It's notable because I usually make it until I wake up at 6:30 to 6:45.

Nope! I caught it from someone who had the Norovirus and I was near them when they vomited. It easily spreads through the air or direct contact.

I did the very rare puke at work, after pooping. I generally don't poop at work, either. It was still early and no one was around, so I took the plunge. I had just had about half of a venti mocha so it tasted pretty nice. It included whipped cream.

It's only happened a few times. There's really not much you can do. I think it's only happened when the poop was very...liquid so it's not like you can stand up and turn around. You just have to throw up all over yourself. I'm used to that happening. I still have that pizza vomit shirt from the other night, unwashed. I can maybe take pictures before I wash it.

I triggered my vomit reflex while brushing my teeth. As sometimes happens, my contact lens popped out while vomiting and landed in the sink, amidst the pile of vomit. Since it was my last lens, I just hosed it off really good with contact lens solution and put it back in my eye. So, as of this morning, I put something I threw up on back into my eyeball. Score.

Vomited after going to the bathroom. Mostly Orange Crush, some poppy seeds from a bagel I ate earlier. Didn't taste any of the garlic cream cheese I had with said bagel. Orange Crush tasted nice coming up. I had 2 cans of it today, one at about 4:45. Would vomit it again.

So, I felt my stomach feeling a little off so I ran to the work bathroom, thinking it might be early enough that there wouldn't be people using it yet. I was wrong. I ran to the elevator, got to my car, and started driving home (I live like 10 minutes away). Unfortunately, it was too late. On the drive home, I vomited all over myself. I was able to keep the last mouthful contained in my trap, and I managed to get home and go for round 2 in the toilet--I think the grossness of throwing up all over myself combined with keeping a spirt of vomit in my mouth triggered even more vomit. I just took a quick shower and changed and now I'm going back to work. I ate kinda late last night, and even though there was no food in the puke, I think this may have antagonized my stomach a bit. This was also kind of late for my morning vomit. I thought I was going to have a pretty clear day.

Just had to take the uncommon second trip home of the day to take a poop. I'm definitely still sick. There was so much slime coming out of my ass that I felt like Shaka. I almost puked afterwards but there was just a lot of spirited dry heaving. I think my tummy is empty. I dry heaved enough that my hands are shaking uncontrollably.

While watching the wonderful True Detective on blu-ray, I spontaneously started spraying vodka and orange juice all over the fucking place. All over the living room, sprayed onto the TV screen, I even left a vomity trail to the bathroom. By the time I was hovering over the toilet I was nearly empty. After cooling off for about 15 minutes on my bed, I returned to the living room, finished the bottle, and watched two episodes that I have no recollection of watching. And no, I did not clean up, even the TV.

I'm unsure as to whether I should count this. Even still, I'm staying in bed, probably basting in my own vomit.

Didn't think I was going to throw up today. After brushing my teeth, I threw up. Brushing my teeth is sometimes a trigger. Worse, I threw up my morning abilify tablet. It was there floating in the toilet, but I'll be damned if I was going to put the goddamned thing back in my mouth. Those things cost 30 bucks a pop, too :(

Anyway, after that I developed a super overactive gag reflex, basically everything made me gag (but rarely vomit thank fuck). Brushing my teeth, strong smells, bad smells, seeing or imagining something disgusting, having anything around my neck too tight like shirt collars or scarves, being tired etc. were things that made me gag and it'd happen many times a day. It sucked so much ass and I still have it but not quite as bad, but being tired always causes me to just gag a lot. Also anything going too deep into my mouth or touching the back of my tongue (not food tho). But man, I can't imagine if instead of gagging I would always have thrown up. I wouldn't have been able to do anything then.

To be honest, I've often had to take a pause, look away and breathe deeply while reading this thread because I've felt my gag reflex stirring. I don't know how you can deal with it, TVC.

I just had a toilet tantrum from both ends.

I BARELY made it home for round 4 of pooping. Seriously. I was undoing my pants while running down the hallway to my apartment. I got in, did my business, which was foul, and got up and felt the unmistakable urge to vomit. The toilet was already flushing, and it clogged and water started to back up--it was about to overflow. After handling the toilet situation, I new I had to get back to work quickly. I turned on the shower in a half-assed attempt to clean up the vomit in there, but the chunks clogged the drain, and now there's about 2 inches of filthy, gross water in my shower. From previous experiences I can tell you that the vomit will grease up the shower and make it bonus slippy and I'll probably bust my head open tomorrow morning.

Just one is focused on that, and I'll be damned if it doesn't work. It's extremely difficult to even begin to think about suicide. It's weird. It's like when I try to think about it, my mind automatically shifts to something else. It's unfortunately the med that causes the above side effects, and I take the maximum dose of it :( It also makes me twitchy (especially my face and eyes) and I have to get a blood test every other week, too.

Threw up Orange Crush. Maybe I shouldn't drink this shit. At least it usually tastes good going up and going down. Not today since the taste got mixed with toothpastey taste still in my mouth from brushing shortly before.

I almost threw up while playing Diablo 3 last night and trying to kill that Act 5 boss. I got pretty angry and I think vomiting might be a sort of equivalent to distinguished mentally-challenged fellow strength.

The morning after heavy drinking causes it, but that's not unexpected. I'm a vegetarian (except for chicken), but on the very rare occasion I will eat red meat (like if I'm at a barbecue or something, and that often causes it. I don't eat any spicy food or anything like that, either.

Drank too much rum. Threw up when I tried to take my nightly dose of lithium. I wasn't actually nauseous, but one of the pills got a little stuck in the back of my throat and set off the works. I was in the kitchen so I yakked all over the place before getting to the sink. Even now there's still vomit all over the floor. I probably won't even clean it today unless it starts getting hot. Also clogged the sink, which is now filled with a mix of vomit and water from me trying to clean it.

Starting the month of right. Woke up thinking it was time for another lithium-related pee but I ended up taking a dump out of my mouth. Had a roasted chicken sub yesterday and it came up nice. Very smooth, no chunks really. Taste was inoffensive but not something I'd put in my mouth if it wasn't coming out by force. My heart is still pumpin' so no easy sleep.
