Does anyone have a spare one? Apparently you get 3 extra codes to give away.
I need to try this shit.
-
I'd like one if somebody has/ends up with an extra xbox one code.
-
I might end up with a spare European PS4 code. I can send it your way in that case, Lager.
-
PS4 :'(
I'm still in PS3 ghetto, unless I get a PS4 as a wedding gift from my wife :lol
-
I will have an extra US PS4 one. I don't think you can mix regions?
-
I would like a PS4 code when someone gets an extra.
-
PS Trippel in the US OF FUCKING A if anyone has a spare one.
-
I'll do stuff to someone willing to trade a ps4 us code.
-
I went ahead and preordered it so I could get into the beta. If I don't like it I'll just cancel my preorder. I heard it's fun, but by god it looks boring as shit to me. So we'll see.
-
Hook me up with an xbox one code Mupepe or Demi
:-[
-
I already registered mine :( Preorder from the microsoft store online and you'll get the key with your confirmation email. Then if you don't want it you can just cancel your preorder before it ships in september
-
Oh. Maybe I misunderstand. I thought some people were saying that one code would turn into three codes when you registered it via bungie. My bad.
-
I think that's what it said when I signed up. Extra codes for coop buddies. I don't know if it's 3 total or 1 + 3 guest passes. The coop is 3 player, so 3 total makes sense. Maybe it's another dumb playstation only thing, like four EXCLUSIVE days of beta access.
-
Maybe it's another dumb playstation only thing, like four EXCLUSIVE days of beta access.
Sorry if superior console burns u up breh
-
but i'm playing it on ps4 :-\
I just don't get this stuff. like, later this year the evolve beta is xbox exclusive. who benefits from that.
-
Well less people then the ps exclusive thing thats for sure
-
I went ahead and pre-ordered it on Amazon. I'll just cancel it, if I end up not liking the beta. So basically you enter the code on bungie.net and then on the day of the beta release for your platform they will give you the real code along with two others. I don't believe it matters what platform you are on. Everybody who enters a code on bungie.net will receive three codes on the day of the official beta release so there should be tons of codes available when the beta hits.
-
Oh I didn't know anything about the extra codes.
-
Cool, send me one then... someone. I will try on ONE.
-
I preordered, then cancelled it, then re preordered, and I got 2 (6) codes
-
Cool, send me one then... someone. I will try on ONE.
you got it boo. When they send mine you'll get one
-
Anyone got ps3 code?
-
> He wants to play Destiny on 360/PS3
-
beta codes are up for ps4 (and ps3?). but psn is down.
-
Yup, and everyone gets three beta keys each. Should be tons of codes popping up. Will offer one or two up for PS4 if friends don't want them.
-
If anyone needs a European PS4 key, send me a PM.
-
I'll trade nudes for a PS3 code
-
So you can only share codes of the same console? I assumed you got a generic key that Bungie lets you convert into whatever console you wanted.
-
demi just wants nudes of me
:umad
-
yeah. with the initial code you choose which console you'll play on, then you get three codes for that specific console.
-
demi just wants nudes of me
:umad
Someone does, at least
-
if someone gets me a 360 code i'll be your best friend for the duration of the beta
-
got 2 extra PS4 codes

Sent you both a beta code for PS3 Americas :usacry
-
While the alpha does a great job at giving you a good understanding over how the game will be structured.
The beta actually shows you how it will be a game. It adds the story context and progression through missions that the alpha lacked. Really enjoyed the bit I played earlier.
-
I'm really appreciating the small touches from Alpha to Beta like the textures and lighting upgrades. Those shadows on the PS4 look awesome. And I agree that this is really showing the strengths of this game very well in comparison to the the Alpha.
-
:bow SANTA BZ :bow2
Downloading now.
-
Thanks brehs, do I put in the code at bungie.net/beta ?
-
just redeem it on PSN

Anybody need PS3 America code? I got 2.

Game is actually a lot of fun! Was moderately impressed, especially since the videos have not left me all that interested.
I don't play many shooters, but I do prefer sci fi shooters to the Call of Bro genre, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask? I dunno.
But, it seems like it has lots of interesting mechanics- levelling your space bro up, getting cool new abilities and loot for your space bro, hanging out with Peter Dinklage, etc.

This game owns.

yeah, the alpha basically dropped you on the map with the third story mission, old russia exploration, and a strike mission. the beta seems like the first hour or so of the game and it does a good job easing people into it. for the most part the alpha and beta have the same content.
and I don't know if leveling is accelerated compared to the alpha or if story mission dole out more xp, but I pretty much hit the level cap after the story missions and a strike team mission. I played the alpha for longer and ended at level 6. also liking my time with a warlock character more than the hunter I used in the alpha.
-
What is the level cap?
P.S. this game rocks
-
level 8 in the beta.
I'm guessing the level cap is 20 in the full game, because that's the highest level I've seen on items and enemies. but it also seems like the game opens up more at level 20. a couple areas in old russia are blocked by level 20 enemies and customization items are locked at level 20.

Too bad no one had a PS3 code for me :(

Take a look at that pm more closely as I did make sure to identify it was for the Americas. You can create an account and still use that code. But if thats too much work I'm sure someone here could use it in your place.
I'll have a few more PS4/PS3 and I'll be getting several Xbox1/360 codes when they send them.

I have 3 more codes for PS4

Ok guys I got a code for the PS3 (us) up for grabs (sorry G for the confusion)

Did the Wizard come from the moon?
-
Can someone PM me a PS4 NA code? I gave away all of mine and now a friend wants one.
-
This is a really pretty game. I think my favorite class is Warlock, followed by Scout. Titan seems to just be "uh, not Spartan, really" so far.
-

Yeah, check PMs.
-

yeah, I like the warlock. at the early level the classes aren't that much different, but it seems like the distinction and specialization of classes, and sub-classes, is important at higher levels. and from what I can tell the beta doesn't get into elemental damage much.
I'm regrettably leaning towards picking this up on consoles instead of waiting on the inevitable PC version. the beta is really fun. even the competitive multiplayer that I didn't enjoy in the alpha clicked with me. just wish it'd stop putting me on that moon map.
-
Im not sure the pc version is inevitable for this one.
By the time it could come out everyone would be playing it on consoles already, and because I dont think the loot and chars carry over cross platform it would suck to start over again.
Im really tempted by the white ps4 destiny bundle now...

If anyone has a spare Destiny code on PS4...

Oh god I am dancing. Why am I dancing. This game cost 50+ million.
-
Downloaded it. Got a corrupted error message as it was downloaded. Still let it finish. Tried to boot game. Got message that said unable to find fireteam and it wouldn't let me play.
:shaq2
Trying to re-download it again.
-
Played to about level 5 or 6.
It seems cool. Very cool in fact. Better than I would have expected as I was a bit skeptical.
It's exactly what you think it is. Borderlands wrapped up in a light mmo skin, with Halo style controls but the mix feels right. This is probably what a console mmo should feel and be like roughly. Not any of the stuff that has come out on consoles before as mmo's which are PC games jury rigged as console games.
Not sure about the depth or length of the game. Not sure if the competitive is worthwhile (I'm skeptical of that too) because of the nature of trying to scale these weapons in any way that makes real sense in that environment. I'll try it out tomorrow. But even as a single player or co-op game alone it seems worthwhile.
My complaints are relatively minor. The story kind of seems whatever but its a loot game so that is mitigated somewhat. And playing at 30 fps is disappointing at first but then I got over it after like 20 minutes and just forgot about it. Normal also seems a bit easy but then its normal I suppose. I'd want to play it on hard on the first playthrough if possible.
Optional stuff like this happening is cool also. Also I like the music in the game.

-
I think the game is extremely impressive so far.
Great blend of single player and multi, loot that seems to be worthwhile and not just by the numbers
-
Are beta keys of the Xbone out yet.
Yes they are, check your pm box.
-
What about 360 :hyper f'd up my knee, would be a good day to play around with this
-
None for 360 yet over here sadly.
-
I didn't get a chance to play last night. I only downloaded it. I'll be on tonight :hyper
-
I tried the competitive multiplayer this morning.
:-\
I can safely say I don't like that part of the game as much as the main campaign. Not that it isn't a bit of mindless fun but its not what I'm looking for.
I don't like the fast time to kills in that mode. What made halo cool was that the battles were an extended dance. Even up until the current one, the one on one engagements were an extended affair compared to this. The times to kill in cod are super fast also but that game has the tight controls to back it up. This game is kind of begging for longer battles on the multiplayer side imo. I also like how halo prioritized weapons like DMR's and semi-auto rifles and burst firing. This game is all about the auto rifles. Which once again is fine in something like COD I guess but I kind of want something different in a game like this that has the potential to have a deeper combat system. I also don't like how supers function in the multiplayer.
This is all opinion stuff. I don't think any of the things I mentioned might bother some other people. But for me it makes it less fun than I would have hoped for after really enjoying the campaign stuff. Whatever.
I still think the campaign part and co-op parts have a lot of potential. And I think the competitive might be a fun time waster in some cases but not necessarily anything that would replace the multiplayer games I already prefer.
-
Got in on 360, guess I'll give it a shot. :D
-
I always thought halo mp was boring floaty and meh, this is much more my speed. Like halo and cod mixed.
Think they do need tl tweak that semi auto rifle a bit before launch, but we havent seen any other maps yet beside the two
-
After starting it up mine is stuck on 47% "transferring game content"
its not moving. I'm on xb1 so if I uninstall it and try to redownload/install it am I gonna have any issues since you can't just grab it off the marketplace?

I feel the same way, to the point that I may not buy this game now since I generally prefer multiplayer over campaign stuff. Keeping pre-order for the time being.
-
I think it's really early to make those calls guys.
Especially since his is the tiniest slice of the game and only 1 MP mode, also factor in the leveling of your char which in some modes will definately prolong his or her life etc. There are so many aspects of the end game (as this is an mmo) that we don't know it's hard to say that this low level shootfest will looks the same across all playmodes and levels.
-
Here's a potentially dumb question- if I get this for PS3, will I be able to play with PS4 owners over PSN? I'm all up for PVE stuff with a small fire team, that seems fun. PVP as ever can go fuck itself in the ear.

definitely don't think it holds up compared to more competitive focused games. I think what destiny does well is make the single player, co-op, and competitive all feel like the same experience. so while you might not sit down and play round after round of it, it's set up in a way that you can jump in for a round between co-op missions.
it took me a few games to "like" the competitive multiplayer. and personally I haven't had any trouble using the scout rifle. though 9/10 times I puts me on that moon level that's better for mid to long range combat.
-
The game gives a great first impression. There is no doubt about that. The more I play, I see things that might bother me or aren't ideal. Or compromises that had to be made because the game was cross gen. I say none of this to diss the game. It's a cool game. And almost certainly I will buy it.
-
I'm on the fence. I'm gonna get it, I just would rather play it on a next gen system, so I'm waffling over whether I want to bite the bullet and just buy a PS4 for it, and, you know, to have a PS4 and shit. It has to get good games eventually, right?
-
PVP is stupid and gay in any game. I only played some of the intro and danced in the hub world then I shut it off. I'll probably just buy it out of launch hype.
-
I was curious so I leveled up a Titan. His super in multiplayer is stupid. You don't even have to be close to people to get the kill. That's the kind of stuff that makes the mp less than ideal.
The problem is you can run into a string of deaths that feel like Call of Duty deaths. Hit by a super. Hit by a rocket launcher. I don't like throwing away my lives in situations that I feel are very unpredictable.
-
I haven't figured out the super business. I see some players using them three or four times in a game and don't know how they refill that quickly. rocket launcher and power weapons are better balanced by limiting the ammo.

I think bungie said you can transfer you character progress from console to console (or maybe just ps3 to ps4 or 360 to xb1), so there's that. but you'll still need to buy the game twice, sell the ps3 copy for $.05 at gamestop.
-
I haven't figured out the super business. I see some players using them three or four times in a game and don't know how they refill that quickly. rocket launcher and power weapons are better balanced by limiting the ammo.
Supers start on a default timer and then that timer refills faster by getting kills (or by capturing objectives I assume). Also when somebody does a super on your team and kills somebody, orbs of light come out. If you collect those your supers also come back faster.
Lots of games have variants of this type of system. Titfanfall essentially works in the same way in how fast you can get your titan. There is just something slightly more annoying about it here because the supers are so powerful and its not like you know they have them sometimes when you turn a corner and just run into somebody.
Also we are missing some of the defensive supers like bubble shield and such so the beta is currently tilted very much towards the offensive side so maybe this will be less of an issue in the full game. I understand they wanted continuity between the PvE and the PvP but the superpowers remind me a bit too much of powerful killstreaks which eventually turned me off of COD to a degree.

By any chance does anyone have 2 PS4 beta codes on them? My brothers really want to try it and I'll appreciate it.
It's open beta now so they just have to download it from the PSN store.
-
Yo this game is for me
-
Reminder later today you can visit the moon for 2 hours
-
So far I've just done PvE stuff but I'm really enjoying it so far. Feels very Halo, in a good way. Headshots with a semi auto all day :rock
-
Yeah scout rifle all day. PvP is a bit laggy to use anything but an auto rifle though.
-
Moon mission was short but you get a damn good weapon as a reward for it.

If not I'm playing the free beta...why I am going to spend $60+ on the retail version?

I did the moon mission and I didn't get anything. :(
-

Take the dead ghost to the speaker at the tower. He will give you a writ to take to the armory.
-
I like the PVE but the PVP suffers from the same shit I hate about MMOs, randomness and no equalization.
-
I played the beta alot. Leveled up three classes to see them. Played a decent amount of the PvP to try to really like it and overcome my initial distaste of it.
I don't know. I think it will be a good game. I'm just not sure its for me. I think I will get bored with the PvE quicker than most people because grinding only goes so far for me and the multiplayer just doesn't do it for me. I think there is a lot to like here potentially. It's just how much content will the final game have. Like I said, earlier the game makes a great first impression. The first hour or so you play its like wow. You kinda feel like every game should be this way and are a bit blown away. And then the more you play the more you see some of the limitations. Like at first I was like this makes the Halo franchise seem stupid and limited and archaic. And then by the end of the beta I kinda wanted to play some halo multiplayer because it made me remember why I use to like that and what is kind of missing here. It's weird like that.
Not sure if I will get it at launch. But It's one of those games that I totally could see other people legit loving for legit reasons. Maybe just not for me.
-
Honestly you might be getting old, I can't only do so much gaming these days and if my pals aren't on it's even more tedious. MMOs I can barely tolerate for their "get this get this, you're behind now" factor.
-
The thing is I think the mmo aspects are the coolest bits in destiny. In fact I found myself wishing it went deeper down that rabbit hole the more I played. Because while I'm generally not a fan of traditional MMO's, I understand that the appeal is this massive experience those games seem to promise. But the more I played the more I became worried that this wasn't really that big an mmo experience as I was expecting. Like PvP stuff I can get over. I can even probably make myself play that part of it even though I would never love it. But then part of me kind of thought how many times will I really want to end up running this campaign. How many strikezones missions will be in this. How much content will there be to make me play it after the initial burst of new game energy is depleted. For me I think it would be best to wait to see other people get it and then if all you guys are like whoa there is a ton of content here then I would probably jump in.
but yeah as I get older I do need a bit of variety. I'm not going to grind 5 strike missions over and over dozens of times just to get uber loot. The gameplay needs to stand on its own for me.
-
I really hate the ps controller shit.
-
Tried this out and liked it. Nice art, music, gunplay. Hopefully it's doable single player without too much of a grind. Playing with randoms...lol, yeah the first mission I tried there were two other players and they went off in the opposite direction of the waypoint and I ended up solo-ing the whole mission.
-

Unless you are in a fireteam, you will always solo the missions. The players in the overworld don't continue with you into the dungeon portion of the missions. Those are instanced.
Only the strike mission auto groups you with a party.
-
Anyone have a spare 360 code?
Isn't this on everyone's main Dashboard at this point? It's just there as an ad at boot-up.
-
I get pretty annoyed with multiplayer design.
Like if you're going to have a modified upgradable grenade on cool down why not have a default grenade so people can still flesh out campers.
Also why spawn people out in the open on maps like the moon where people can just camp that shit with vehicles or run you over the minute you're trying to get towards a building.
Why is the radar solo in the left hand corner where there is no other reason to look and it's far away from my line of sight.
Why isn't there a better indicator to tell what direction you're being shot from.
Supercharged nonsense means more random killed in one second crap on top of power weapons and being knifed.
Who designs this crap,
