I don't have much time available to game right now and I need a game to just drill down into- I suspect it might have to be on a portable system. Suggestions?
-
Crypt of the NecroDancer (PC) is fantastic
If you need it to be portable, why not Rogue Legacy (Vita)?
-
Go read a book, loser
-
Platform?
Shovel Knight probably makes for a pretty good 3DS game.
-
Rogue Legacy
-
Final Fantasy X-2
-
the legend of Zelda
-
no I was talking about the first one
-
Persona 4 GOLDEN

I second the Shovel Knight recommendation. It's not too long a game and ideal for playing 15-20 minutes at a time.

WHAT, you can't make any progress in Shovel Knight unless you have, like 90-120 minutes to dedicate to one of the horribly long levels

Rogue Legacy is the tits if you haven't played it already. Unlike Shovel Knight, you can actually play it for 15-20 minutes at a clip.
-
I played a little of Rogue Legacy back on PC- but maybe it's time to go back. 15-20 minutes sounds about right- I just cant find the time to lock down on stuff anymore :*((((((

I can't really recall any levels that took me more than 20 minutes to beat, maybe the second tower stage at the end of the game... The whole game took me 5h, though I didn't collect all the scrolls (I'm in the process of doing that currently...)

STEAMWORLD DIG on 3DS.
That game is so fucking good. It's great in small chunks, but so addictive you might find yourself marathoning it. One of my favorite games on the system.

Shovel Knight took me 11 hours to finish, and I've heard from tons of other people that the stages are WAY too fucking long so I know it's not just me...
I also just hated the game because it was good enough I kept playing but never good enough I actually enjoyed myself. WayForward'd

Guess I was right in mentally filing it in the 'wait for a $5 sale' bin.
