I'm going in at 5 and I'm pretty excited.  I didn't work all summer, and since I'm food service I'll get a free meal afterwards.   :rejoice

Pretty sure Japanbore worked, but now I'm realizing I'm the only American among Japanbore's membership. Is Canuckistan's Labor Day on the same day as the Los Estados Unidos?

Why does Labor get a whole day? Why not a Capital Day? And it better not be held during White History Month.

Easy day because no one wanted to call in because they would lose their holiday pay :rejoice

Starting my three day weekend tomorrow because I'm on a four day, ten hours per day work week schedule :pimp

Thank a union member for having Labor day off. If you don't know a union member, thank a republican.

My job is 24/7 and they don't count labor day as a "holiday."  Instead, you not only work a normal day, but they switch everything to "holiday routing," meaning no matter what position you have and what firms you assist, you have to take calls from anyone, and that's usually going to be pissed-off lawyers working remotely on some shitty connection.  It's total stress-filled chaos.

Which is I requested off a good six months prior.  :smug  They also do this on Memorial Day and July 4th.  It's incredibly easy to just submit a request for time off months in advance, yet no one does...so I keep getting those days off.  Took off today too, because why not?
