What an ending. The final four episodes seemed to start off dumb with Kim being kidnapped again but things picked up rather quickly. Once again I was pulled in and never let go lol. Just when you think it's getting repetitive something hits you, like BOOM DENNIS FUCKING HOPPER
But mainly I want to talk about the 3-4 different storylines and how they ended.
-Palmer/Sherry:
I found Palmer's storyline to be most intriguing, despite it having little action. Palmer is a very complicated character. On the surface he seems like a generic "perfect" politician, but things run deeper than that. At his heart Palmer wants to do things the right way, even if it costs him the election. He's more interested in staying true to himself than anything else. This puts him in direct opposition to those around him, mainly his wife. Wow Sherry...bitch total. She was so intent on putting Palmer into the White House that she went someone to fuck Palmer, just to ease his mind (and as possible blackmail).
I must say I thought for a second that the writers were going to give Palmer a flaw and have him sleep with the woman, but he didn't; he could have easily done it to get back at his wife, but instead he kept true to her. When he fired the aid I actually cheered and clapped :lol
THEN he divorced Sherry. Sadly I saw that part on YouTube so I knew it was coming, but it was powerful nonetheless. I know Palmer becomes president, but it'll be interesting to see how he's able to do that despite the divorce; I doubt that would work in real life lol.
-Jack and the terrorists:
The last couple episodes really show why Jack is a fucking badass. To make things better Dennis Hopper portrayed a villian equally badass. Watching them both play cat and mouse was amazing; they both knew exactly what the other was thinking. It's too bad we won't get to see them go at it in the future.
Jack's one man stand was epic. Oh snaps :lol
-NINA WTF OMG
A TERRORIST? That makes so little sense lol. It just doesn't fit! There were many instances where Nina didn't act like a terrorist. For instance when she became suspicious of the FBI agent at the hospital. IF she was a terrorist also why would she call CTU and report that? Just to get the women moved to the safe house? Meh. I need to see what happens with that. Apparently it was Nina and not a look-alike.
Overall I must say this is the best thing I've ever seen from television. It delivered on nearly every level, and I can't wait to get the next season. In fact I'm going to watch the season two preview tonight.
ONE QUESTION:
This season took place within one day, which of course is the show's premise. Now I know Palmer becomes president, which means that they'd have to skip a considerable amount of days to get to that; he just won the primary, so he's got what 5 months before the national election? So is season two going to occur during the day AFTER the first 24 hours? If so Palmer still won't be president.

btw I know Palmer dies. It was spoiled by YouTube and gifs on GAF. In that episode it Jack is working at a construction company, after faking his death. What season is that? I saw a couple episodes of it and it was niiice.
I can't wait to see what happens with Sherry. Luckily I know absolutely nothing about season two, whereas with season one I had seen some of the finale already.
