A new one just opened here and I've been thinking about checking it out. Anything in particular I should check out there? Is it worth going to?
-
smokehouse cheddar brisket sandwich! it's delicious, bro.
-
Yes.
-
Yeah, it's pretty good. I usually get the Italian.
-
Hook and Ladder is gud.
-
It's way better than Subway, but that ain't saying much. It's alright, I like the Hook and Ladder.
-
They recently opened one of these in PR. I hate that it's an hour drive away, otherwise I'd make it a regular eating spot. >:(
-
I'm confused, this isn't a Taco Bell thread. ???
-
I almost responded with a snobby "Are, not is" until I realized Firehouse Subs must be a restaurant of some kind.
I'll take my L and leave, good sirs.
-
Good to hear.
I was about to try Jimmie Johns but it seems they on that :hitler
I live less than a mile away from one and they don't deliver here....I wonder why :comeon
-
You ain't missing much with Jimmy Johns.
-
Yeah, Jimmy Johns is pretty basic stuff. Not a lot of fixin's. Their roast beef is good, though.
-
:whew Thanks guys

Pretty much how I feel about it. The only sandwich I've ever eaten from Firehouse is the meatball. The others don't really appeal to me much.
This is just another fast food joint with higher prices than the others. Nothing to get excited over. When I want to get a good sandwich, there's a local Italian grocery that makes the best subs. 100 times better than any of these chains.

Y'all doing it wrong

Best sandwiches I ever had were at Wolf's in NYC. Too bad the place closed down. :(

More chain crap? You're missing out, dude!
But yeah, Blimpie back in the day shit all over Subway. There's still a few Blimpie's around here but they are pretty bad now. A Coldstone right nearby has a Blimpie's inside. Last time I got a sandwich there it tasted like shit. :(

There are people here in the office who eat subway every day. (http://i.imgur.com/4nE8HT0.png)
Spend $30-$40 a week to watch someone make you a glorified sandwich 'cause you're a lazy fuck, brehs.

Subway tastes like shit. They changed all their stuff about 5 years ago and I have never been back.

There are 3 main ingredients in a Subway sub. Bread, lettuce, and mayo.

So basically it tastes like cardboard, dirt, and mayo.

Subway is so bland and forgettable. No idea how they got to be the biggest chain in the world.

Because there seems to be one of those fuckers about every 3 miles in every state in the country.

I think they have low franchise fees/standards or something.

I like Subway's "specialty" breads okay. The Asiago cheese one is good.
-
This fucking thread made me go to Firehouse for lunch. :-\
-
I went to taco bell
-
I went to taco bell
Twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner.

Jimmy Johns is sort of like paying for sex. Feels good free, like when you get free samples at work during a presentation, but when you spend your hard earned money on it you're left thinking "I could have done this myself..."
Their bread is lol worthy. You can get some quality bread, cheese, lettuce, a tomato slice, and meat at the grocery store for a decent price and make a better sub.

You get free samples of sex during presentations?

Now a dumb question, potentially really dumb: Does Firehouse Subs deliver? Looking for an excuse not to leave my apartment since I just got back from classes and the gym.
No, sadly I think Jimmy John's is the only sandwich chain that delivers. Like I said Firehouse is sorta average to me, but if I could get it delivered I'd probably be eating Hook and Ladders everyday, so that's for the best :P
-
Never liked Firehouse. I've always preferred Jersey's Mikes for my go to sub chain.
