The best vacation I ever had was in KC because I just ate barbecue for three days straight.
And you'd be happy looking like that. :whewThe best vacation I ever had was in KC because I just ate barbecue for three days straight.
If I lived in KC my ass would look like Fat Albert.
Also the honey mustard thing people associate with the Carolinas isn't actually a region wide thing, and most places you can't even find it.
:ufup carolina style is good
plus even if you don't like it you have to acknowledge they're originators.
I voted
-memphis. best ribs and pork handling, especially dry rubs. thin Vinegary sauce is ideal; they let the meat + smoke speak for itself instead of covering it with sugar which is the main weakness of...
-kansas city which i voted for cause they have all around good shit (they barbecue everything man) and burnt ends which are gawd tier, but can definitely be pretty sauce dependent.
-st louis, pork steaks are one of my favorite things to barbecue and i gotta hold it down for the hometown.

you think that way but when you live in one for an extended period of time you can easily get sick of it. i'm from a fairly respectable bbq city in st. louis and spent a few years in memphis, and to be honest at the end of my memphis tenure i was looking at any bbq like (http://i.imgur.com/Q0wlcsB.png)
If I'm doing my own BBQ and can't be assed to make my own sauce (most of the time) I use this shit, it's pretty much as good as you can get.

acting like its anything other than KC....pshYou been to Eastern North Carolina? :ufup
evilbore showing out for memphis :bow :bowacting like its anything other than KC....psh
KC is only popular because their shit is meat candy bathed in sugar. Don't get me wrong, I love it; i voted for it. But it's always going to be the most widely loved in America cause it's overly sweet and uncomplicated. That doesn't mean they're the undisputed king tho :ufup
I already said burnt ends are good, bruh. They're a bbq delicacy. But they're also very much bbq 'candy' in a sense, being the fattiest part of the rib crisped up and slopped on some sauce. They're like the bacon of barbecue.

Looks good. A lot of people would say all those pickled veggies is some bourgeois / hipster barbecue and they might have a point (your standard southern joint might give you some pickled cucumber slices and coleslaw) but I think of it as a very southern thing.
I'm not saying bbq in the north is all automatically bad, especially because you know, people move and shit, but I tend to give it the :heh because northerners are the type of people to say only pizza from NYC is real pizza.
we love pickles round these parts :ufup
Yup.
You could do fried chicken, but that's not really something with regional styles of cooking.
It's what brings us together :interracialYup.

We could just make a thread about how awesome fried chicken is. :mouf
