I'm still convinced Sandler is just playing the long con to actually end up becoming his character in Funny People

In all honesty, Sandler is cool as shit.  Zero fucks given type of guy, he comes on Dan Patrick pretty frequently and is fun to listen to.  Dude just wants to give his friends work, make money, and relax in his sweatpants.

Funny People was good. But then Sandler decided all the joke trailers in that are the movies he wants to make.
He tried. He did a Jason Reitman movie and a Thomas McCarthy movie this fall that he didn't get paid shit for, no one saw and no one liked. This is after Funny People, which was supposed to be his honest, mass market, self-deprecating atonement for his career of shit. Normals complained it wasn't funny enough and it didn't make that much money. Meanwhile he shits out Grown Ups 2 with no effort and makes a quarter of a billion dollars. I don't see how anybody can blame him.

Objectively he is a giant hack.  I was somewhat obsessed with him as a comedian during pre-adolescence, and it sucks seeing one of your heroes become so cynical and calculated.  I'm sure he's a cool guy in person but I find his lack of effort gross.  I'm not talking about starring in art-house films or oscar-bait either, I just mean making the best Adam Sandler movie he knows how to make.  It's not exactly a high bar to strive for.

When I first saw the name in the list, I thought it was referring to the artist Matthew Barney, and I thought it was odd that he'd be mentioned in the thread. I copy and pasted the name into google to see if he had done something high profile and then I saw it was just the Muse loser.
