RIP
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After more than six years of delivering fun Nintendo-themed rewards to its members, Club Nintendo is preparing to shut down. Nintendo’s loyalty-rewards program rewarded members with a variety of items, such as downloadable games, Nintendo posters or character figures in exchange for Coins that members earned by registering products or completing surveys. Club Nintendo members in the United States and Canada can earn additional Coins through the end of March, and can redeem those Coins through the end of June. Nintendo of America will be announcing a new customer loyalty program at a later date.
“We thank all Club Nintendo members for their dedication to Nintendo games and their ongoing love for our systems and characters,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We want to make this time of transition as easy as possible for our loyal Club Nintendo members, so we are going to add dozens of new rewards and downloadable games to help members clear out their Coin balances.”
Nintendo will add a number of physical reward options for members in February. Members will also be able to choose from a lineup of many downloadable games. As a gift to Club Nintendo members, the Flipnote Studio 3D software will be available to download for free in February. This software will allow users to create unique three-dimensional animations and to exchange their creations via local wireless with others who also own Flipnote Studio 3D. Users who uploaded creations to Flipnote Hatena will be able to download their personal animations from the Nintendo DSi Library menu in Flipnote Studio 3D software. Flipnote Studio 3D will be available to Club Nintendo members until June 30. The ability to create a new Club Nintendo account will end on March 31. All users who register to Club Nintendo before registration closes will be eligible to receive Flipnote Studio 3D.

They are still giving out Platinum prizes this year. You have until 3/31/2015 to cash in and get Platinum.
Any products released after today will not give you Club Nintendo points.
Any unused coins will be deleted on 07/1/2015.
6/30/2015 is the last day of operation for Club Nintendo.
-
I heard the platinum rewards this year are just digitial game downloads, nothing physical. :-\ Any truth to this rumor?
-
How do you "hear" of rumors of what club nintendo rewards? Lol.
If its anything like the last couple years, set your expectations low
-
The final physical reward will be a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
-
That would be fitting
-
That would be fitting
literally.
-
Club Nintendo sucked.
Here are games no one wants on a system no one has
Here's something everyone wants with a supply maximum of 10
Spending point on club Nintendo? That's not a thing.
-
thought it was pretty sweet myself
-
Were rewards different for Japan and North America?

Were rewards different for Japan and North America?
:heh

Were rewards different for Japan and North America?
Lol.
Short answer: Yes
-
I got a NDS game case and a Luigi hat 3DS case (too small for 3DS XL lol) from Club Nintendo. Otherwise I just spend my points on virtual console games.

Ah.
Kids over here seem to love it. Many of the co-workers at the Japanese company I worked at also participated. One guy had won a Mario hat. My nephew got either a Famicom controller for Wii, or a gold controller or something. Always seemed pretty neat.
-
I would just order the limited edition posters and re-sell them on Ebay. I was always amused at what some of them sold for.
So, hopefully the new program will still have those
-
We've got a couple canvas shopping bags from Club Nintendo. Those are awesome.
-
Final reward catalog updated. Shitload of games to buy.
https://club.nintendo.com/rewards.do
-
Site is getting shit on though
-
I can afford a 600-700 coin 3DS game.
Kid Icarus was good, yeah? Deciding between that, New SMB2 or 3D Land.
-
Id pick 3D Land
-
Wouldn't let me log in, and now it's down for site maintenance. Fuck a Nintendo. :maf
-
Same. I think I have like 6000 points lol
-
Sits getting peed on by thirsty hoarders. The digital rewards wont run out and will be until June or so. The physical rewards will probably get raided, but nothing really stood out except the Majora's puzzle and the messenger bag.

this somehow got messed up and ordered the messenger bag when I ordered the 3ds xl pouch.
at least I have enough for a virtual console game. if those don't expire, might as well do it when the site isn't dying.

3D Land, unless you really want early-onset arthritis...
-
Between those, go 3D Land.
I think I'm gonna get DKC Returns.

Nintendo fans love schwag. Never cared for physical rewards honestly.
-
nintendo fans drive all their shit up.
copies of mega man 1 NES apparently sell for $80 these days :-\
buying Wii games while they're cheap seems like a good idea, since all their other systems' games are fucking expensive (used copies of fire emblem path of radiance go for $200 for some ungodly reason.)
-
Mega Man stuff is completely overpriced. Luckily you can get the collections or buy the stuff on the Virtual Console. You can basically get all the NES, GB, SNES Mega Man titles.
-
nothin beats an original tho. except mega man. fuck mega man.
-
what kind of bullshit opinion is that
-
A correct one. II is the best of the series. :-*
-
60 pts away from being able to get Wonderful 101. Gonna have to get some codes from fam/friends.
-
I chose The Wonderful 101 as a prize and I'm currently downloading it, but I still have all my coins. Wut? Maybe it's because I had reached gold status? Will I be able to get something else free at platinum? I'm 60 coins away, guess I'll find out soon enough.
Since I still have all my coins, I guess I'll get NSMB2. There isn't anything else interesting for 600+ that I don't have or can't borrow from my nephew.
-
Gold/Plat rewards are up. All digital games, nothing physical.

Glad I waited on Tropical Freeze. :rock
-
Tropical Freeze for me too.
-
I really won't miss using this website
-
Been trying off and on for like 7 hours to get my fucking code.
Good jon Nintendo.
-
so did I already need to be a member to get this shit or can I register some games now and be good?
-
Yes, you need to be a member
No, you cant get any points anymore
-
feck o well

Nintendo fans are crazy about the merch. Amiibo was a pretty smart move given the fanbase's habits.

I forgot wii u has no storage space. donkey kong takes up half of it (11+ gigs) and I had to delete old demos and f2p TANK TANK TANK.
-
Probably gonna cop NES Remix for the 3DS.

I had to delete Metroid Prime Trilogy to make room for it.
I'll probably grab a cheap external HDD later.
