Title: Help I'm becoming a casual.
Post by: archie4208 on February 03, 2015, 02:06:21 PM
I finally joined this decade and got a smartphone. I've spent a ton of time playing Cut the Rope, Crossy Road and Puzzles and Dragons.
S-should I download Candy Crush? :'(

Also what are some other good Android games? I got Chu Chu rocket and Monument Valley for a dollar each and they're pretty great.

Shadow Blade is a fun platformer.
Monster Strike is fun, too. It's similar to Puzzles and Dragons but instead of a match-3 mechanic, the playfield is more like shooting pool. It's fun and way less grindy than PAD.

I don't know if they are available for Android, but The Room, Kingdom Rush, Threes!, and Super Hexagon are top tier. The first two titles are better suited for a tablet though.

Ghost Blade - my goty 2014 Wayward Souls - my goty 2014 runner up 774 Deaths Space Age: A Cosmic Adventure House of the Dead All of the Dragon Quests Puzzle and Dragons Helix
Whether these are or not are on android is not my fault. Most of the games I picked for you are challenging and should be a great intro to the platform.

in a similar situation since we got a big new TV. kind of think of it as a license to play shit games that aren't worth getting out of bed for.

Real life creates casuals. I'm in a long-term relationship, career shit, going outside shit, sorry videogames- let's play Monster Strike 90% of the time, and half finish real games 10% of the time.
Bitter sweet- cherry blossoms- some shit like that.

I've barely played games since 2001 or so. I keep buying them though ... I'm on chapter 5 of FF13

I like the IDEA of games enough to buy them- some concepts just sound cool, or I remember what it was like to play a game like what's being offered, but getting around to playing them without feeling badly about spending time that way is super difficult.
