note having something in category 2 doesn't necessarily mean you don't appreciate or prefer it to be good, just that you still love it even when it's not.

me

good only:
sweet potato fries
pizza
beer mostly
just about anything with cheese in it
sandwiches
salad

good is best, but shitty is good too:
non-sweet potato fries
coffee
wine, but only because a girl i liked enjoyed shitty cheap wine and I associate it with her
shawarma, falafel, etc.

you? can be things other than food if you like

your list is pretty accurate

in the second category i'm putting wodka, sadly a lot of tea for me, and i gotta move pizza over into that category because i will tolerate some pretty low brow pizza

add most chinese and thai dishes, i'll eat even one and a half star versions of it, schwarma and middle eastern dishes are in there too

salad is a underrated food that you can't skimp on, but i guess most people get past it by pouring on a gallon of dressing

i don't know anything about wine, but whiskey's gotta go in the first category and really, rum, because there's some rum, even middle shelf stuff that tastes like it's been mixed with windex or something no matter what you try to mix it with

also in the second category, recursivelyenumerable threads, they're always worth a dick or two at minimum

yeah I was going to include this but then I visualized "Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese" and wondered if lumping them together as one item was culturally insensitive or ignorant or whatever so I decided screw it

my pizza pickiness seems to be a definite minority view, huh. growing up I always just thought I hated pizza period, didn't learn there was such a thing as "good pizza" until I was an adult.

good to me means you can actually taste the bread, vegetables, meat, etc. and they taste like what they are. when you can't taste each actual food thing involved and it's just a lot of goop, it's disgusting.

I'll have some nice deep dish, nyc style, or napolitano wood fired shit, but i can also fuck with some papa johns, jets, and dominos.  I don't like pizza hut though. 

and on that note, I like good chocolate chip cookies, but my favorite might be that huge cookie in a pan from papa johns.

Despite enjoying it for going on 15 years now, I still don't have a taste for good vs. great sushi.

Like I prefer sushi from a proper restaurant to the premade stuff they sell at the sushi kiosk at the grocery store, but separating well prepared fresh sushi into good and great is just beyond me.

scrambled eggs (so simple to make, yet so many people fuck them up)
shrimp (again, very simple to make, yet many refuse to de-vein them, or cook them until they have the texture of a superball)
steak (shit's expensive, cook it right)

Good even if its bad:

chinese buffets
pancakes/waffles
breakfast sausage
wings
pizza
snack cakes (like little debbie, etc.)
packaged potato chips
