Gonna be a little miffed if they do a price drop now considering I got a PS4 last month.

How come?

They could have released Tomb Raider as a multiformat title. But they win anyway they get the full push of an exclusive title. And then may or may not come out for the PS4 at some point in 2016. Although I honestly think that MS will make sure it's only on X1,360 and then next year on PC.

There'll be a couple mid-level games announced at E3 for holiday 2015, and they'll probably snag some sort of exclusive modes/missions for some of the bigger third party stuff

and i would bet money on a plethora of remastering announcements from everyone all around

the way they were talking about it a month ago (?) it sounded like it'd be rushed or delayed.  better delayed than another Uncharted 3.

Glad for the delay.  Uncharted 3 was rushed for holiday release and what a disaster it was; you can tell hundreds of folks poured their hearts and souls into U3 and there's a good game in there but that last 15% of polish and BALANCING THE FUCKING GAME was missing and it just wasn't that fun to play, they fucked everything up by rushing and they regretted it in every interview after.

Otoh Last of Us got delayed until it was done and that was great.  So I'm all for them taking the time to do the final 15% polishing. 


It's not like exclusive games even matter anymore when 99% of games are released on everything.  2015 and 2016 are both looking pretty packed with 2015 getting Bloodborne, Batman AK, MGSV, Xenoblade 2, Pillars of Eternity, Hotline Miami 2, Halo 5, Persona 5 etc... and 2016 having Uncharted 4, FFXV, Crackdown 3, and such.

I wish they would chill on the Turret sections. I remember playing UC2 and it had some horrible turret shooting sections that dragged on far too long. I never finished it because the attack on the village section near the end was bullet sponge enemy city. I'll probably wait till I have a PS4 in 2017, 2018 time when GT7 is finished (I know it will be out in 2016, maybe. I'm not taking any chances post GT6 tho')

it is funny how many of these games are getting delayed.  just in these first three months dying light, the order, evolve, battlefield hardline, and bloodborne were all supposed to release earlier.  in a way it's better spread them out than crowd fall.

Well, I mean it's understandable.  These release dates/windows are set years in advance by the publisher with in input from the developers on the likelihood of the game actually being done by then.  So when the game gets closer to a stable state with end goals in site, the developers know about how many more months they need and publishers either tell them "too bad" and release a buggy broken mess like AC Unity or say "ok" and delay the game.

No idea, but I'd like to know. Maybe Lager can peak at Yoshida's schedule the next time he brings him coffee.

Nah, Last of Us launched in June.  Batman AK is launching in June.  U4 will probably launch in June.  March & June (aka fiscal endings) are the other big non-holiday release times.
