I'm really just expecting DA:I in space and I'm 100% cool with that.

Rpg?  ::)

I have super low expectations for anything Bioware now. ME3 was one long corridor it felt, with worse shooting then other TPS games. I quit because it felt so confined and cheesy/by the numbers.

Another big downgrade from ME1 is the music, which has gotten worse over time.

ME1 was so full of promise, like DA1.

I haven't played it yet, but from impressions it seems like it suffers from the open world itis that has been spreading in Ubisoft and other games of late. Big world full of meaningless stuff and quests. Bit like an offline MMO.

Edit: Don't want to shit up your ME thread sorry.

On topic, I hope Bioware gets some EA people to help out with the shooting aspect if they want to evolve the game further, and put less focus on the stupid relationships between characters that add so little to the game. I don't want an open world like everyone is making now, but a tight experience  (not a corridor like ME3). So small but vibrant areas full of interesting stuff to do.

No collection, fetch, resource quests.

PLEASE LORD GET RID OF AMMUNITION CLIPS

way more jarring than the ending of three was the absurd shit two sentence explanation to retro fit, into ME2, ammo clips in place of weapon cool downs.   :sheik

That would be the worst case scenario.

i don't even see where they'd take the story considering how they wrapped up damn near everything in the lore during me3

"Thanks to the recently discovered Something Machine, rebuilding the Mass Effect relays will take only a few years, rather than a few millennia! Also, Shepard got brought back to life again."

more than that i was talking about how

spoiler (click to show/hide)
all the conflicts like quarian vs krogan and uh robo people vs robo people creators got resolved. they ended every conflict and answered most of the lore-based mysteries.

They'll just introduce a new alien species or something.

If they add on from the mechanics of the third one, then I'm game

Starting to feel like in general once you go beyond a trilogy in games you should really just reboot.

How I feel tbh. Just throw all of Mass Effect trilogy in the trash save the score and atmosphere of 1 & 2. Maybe trim the scale down from univeral extinction to just a couple planets or a system.

they should just jack the Star Trek Voyager thing and strand a crew in uncharted space, effectively reboot it with new species but keep the door open for reuniting with old ones.  I'm sure other galaxies in mass effect have aliens to shoot.

Or go the TNG/DS9 route and just use the world building that's already there with new characters and stories. Star Trek really mastered the art of the reboot now that I'm thinking about it.

Mass Effect  :rejoice

It better have multi like mass effect 3 did. That was the best part of the entire goddamn game.

Hero's Journey, blabla. A collection of tropes taken as a guideline.

Does sound a bit like they're pulling a Ubisoft and moulding it after Inquisition. Which was to be expected, but hey.

Damn, thought they'd move away from a space jesus plot  :-\
Being able to "explore" 100s of planets' surfaces just sounds like computer generated fluff

Hopefully the new alien races are very unique at least

At least they're starting over with completely new characters, instead of trying to carry on/retcon the ending of ME3 and get Sheppard and co back in there, which probably would have just ended up being a mess.

It's Dragon Age: Inquisition except your bases can be attacked. That's it.

Well if this is anything like Ubisoft games or that trash that was Inquisition. You can count me the fuck out.

Is this game like dead or something? haven't heard much about it in a loooooong time  :lol
Last I've seen was a bit of alpha gameplay leaked through someone's LinkedIn or something. There were jetpacks.

That multi was the most surprising thing about ME3. I thought it was going to be a quick tacked on mode but I ended up spending a ton of time playing it
