I actually like cutting grass. I love seeing the aftermath of my work, the sheer beauty of a well cut lawn :lawd

Usually I cut a few lawns during the summer. My old ass neighor's, mine, sometimes my parents' lawn, etc. I love this time of year especially because I time myself, so I'll get to see my speed progress improve over time. I'm always slow as fuck early in the spring/summer because I haven't cut in months, but by the summer I'll be finishing in no time.

BTW the absolute worse yard work is raking/bagging leaves during the fall. Fuck that shit.

Last year I discovered that I could get away with just running the lawn mower over some of the leaves instead of raking. Saved me quite a bit of time.

I had two months off between my last job and current job. Worked in the yard for at least 8 hours a day every day. Still didn't come close to finishing everything I wanted/needed to.

That being said, nothing is worse than starting the mulching/landscaping. I remember many summers as a kid where my parents would have a huge pile of mulch dumped in the driveway, and we'd work on it throughout the week. Front of the house, sides, backyard...fuck. As a kid that always felt like a death sentence, especially when you're friends started riding past the house on their bikes.

I'd say the coolest yard project I ever did was building a deck when I was a kid. Me, my brothers, my dad, and one of his friends. I don't remember how long it took us but I remember working on it in the summer and fall/early winter. Built it out of trex. It still looks great to this day, whereas the wooden decks our neighbors made look pretty bleh and required various makeovers.

someone told me there were snow flurries last week but I didn't see any. She said she saw them while on the freeway (75) late at night. It rained multiple times last week but jeez...I can't imagine not realizing it had snowed.
