"When consumers get concerned about one ingredient or one additive and that shows in a drop in sales, the companies go crazy and work as hard as they can to get rid of that," Moss says. "They're incredibly sensitive to sales figures. We've seen one company after the next reporting horrific profits. They blame it on consumers getting concerned about what they put in their bodies."

There is no scientific evidence that GMOs pose a risk to health, as Chipotle founder and co-CEO Steve Ells readily acknowledges. "I don't think this is about GMOs being harmful or not being harmful to your health," Ells tells The Salt. "It's a bigger picture. It's really part of our food with integrity journey."

This is why I don't fuck with Chipotle. I mean if you're out in LA, it ain't like you're gonna be starving for Mexican food joints anyway tho.
-
I always get my Taco Bell quesaritos with extra GMOs. :mouf
-
Of all the shit Americans put in their mouths, they're most concerned with GMO.
America: HELL NO to GMO, FUCK YEAH to everything else. :heyman
Don't forget carbs.

I recently bought a bunch of uncured meat because it was on clearance and I don't value my life but I'm sure the cashier thought I just believed preservatives are poison.

GMOs, MSG, I need all of of that
-
But GMOs taste so good.

Yet another reason to eat at Taco Bell instead.
-
I know what a GMO is, but every time I see the term I think of some enemy faction from Metal Gear Solid.

I'll just take my business elsewhere then.

GMOs are literally the devil

Tbh idk why they can't just have a GMO free menu in conjunction with the other stuff. I'm all for people being able to not eat the food they don't want to eat (I voted for that ludicrous GMO labeling proposition here a few years ago) but it's never sat well with me when that creeps into everyone having to eat that way too. Happens with other dietary accommodations too, not to pick on yuppies.

I knew someone would manage to turn this into a Taco Bell thread.
