Wham.
-
But it's not a secret.
-
any/everything from Carson Daly era TRL
Green Day
Kerplunk-Dookie-Insomniac :lawd. classics imo. I even unironically love American Idiot, that tape was a big part of my relationship with my sister when it came out and then ~8 years later it was a big point of contact with my best friend
-
That stupid pumped up kicks song
-
disturbed :dead
-
abba
has absolutely no place in this thread!
-
Billy Joel
-
On the real tho...
Nas
:holeup

I agree, Van Halen (not Van Hagar) is the GOAT party rock.
-
Is it ok to fuck with A Perfect Circle?
-
Static-X :goty2
SOAD
In Extremo (something for the Germans)
I only tried to listen to Machinae Supremacy, but they are truly rage inducing, especially the singer. He sounds like he's crying. Something for the other thread, but I'm too lazy.
-
SOAD's Chop Suey :aah I remember riding around in a friends truck listening to it. I had just seen Spirits Within, and while it was terrible the Spider-Man teaser (with the World Trade Center) was fresh in my mind and that song was so tight.
-
Too much EDM to name
Iggy Azalea
Katy Perry
Britney Spears
Taylor Swift
Kacey Musgraves
Taking Back Sunday
-
I love Kacey Musgraves too.
-
maudlin of the Well
LL Cool J
Maroon 5
corny chocolate lover era Big Daddy Kane
Clutch
Trick Daddy
Boris
mixtape 50 Cent
You're inducing more rage in me by suggesting Trick Daddy is for fuckboys than any of those bands actually induce rage in the mass populous

I know every word to Tell All Your Friends and there's some YouTube covers floating around.
I forgot Dashboard Confessional (also only the older stuff—but Twin Forks is solid.)

Emo / pop/punk bands just make me think of my painful teenage years, no thx.
Abba was mentioned, Take a chance on me or whatever it's called is awesome.
I like Taylor Swift songs and 90s dance music :-[
-
Dancing Queen is probably the perfect pop song
-
<--------
Bruh, have you heard their new song?

....
John Mayer
:brazilcry
His first album is dope.

There's a #duality to Mayer for me, that fits this thread perfectly. On one hand he's a legit great guitarist and has some solid work - although I really only fuck with one and a half of his albums. On the other hand he is responsible for one of the most rage educing songs ever.

:pacspit
I've been thinking about making a thread on this shit for YEARS. Just consider all the amazing socially conscious anthems or protest tracks about peace/justice. There were tons in the 60s, 70s, etc that defined generations. Yet my generation has this shit.
:goty

My go to fuckboi band is blink-182. Having older sisters influence my music taste was hit or miss.
Could probably still fuck with a lot of the Tony Hawk soundtracks too :yeshrug

Lots of cheeseball EDM. Lately this one:

I still can't take Hardwell though...

It is. Although 3x5 is probably his best song he'll ever make.
-
Any AC/DC song played by any shitty hillbilly at every bar I've ever drank at.
-
Chris Brown is a good choice because no matter what, Loyal is still the jam :tocry
-
<unspeakable crimes against taste removed for the protection of the innocent>
Son, you done fucked up.
-
I think PD takes the cake with this one. Mayer's personality the definition of a fuckboy. He says awful shit about his tastes in women and his sexuality. He's admittedly talented enough for me not to condemn his music as awful, but he's also just generic enough to be completely hateable. He's friends with Kanye. Pretty solid choice. :obama
-
Lots of black dudes like John Mayer. It is known.
-
"Your Body is a Wonderland" and "Daughters" are on constant rotation in Hell, and I don't even BELIEVE in Hell.
-
Mayer is undeniably gifted as a guitarist and I dig that song "Heartbreak Warfare".
-
"Your Body is a Wonderland" and "Daughters" are on constant rotation in Hell, and I don't even BELIEVE in Hell.
No doubt, however Waiting For The World To Change is worse than both imo. Daughters is especially scust worthy tho.
:kobeyuck
That's one of those barometers for old ass fuckboy status. The day I find myself humming that song will probably be when I'm like 46 with a 13yo daughter. I'll look down at my feet - no double decked out in socks and sandals - and realize I'm finished.
-
People focus too much on the chorus of that song. The first few verses of that song have a pretty strong message.

Fuccboi is a state of mind
Started humming Luscious Jackson after reading this.

(pretty sure ToxicAdam is about 46 years old)
-
At the time I appreciated that opening, I was in my 20's. It's a pretty poignant point that many of our worst relationships (as a male with a female) can be blamed on a shitty father.
At least it resonated to me who was in a string of crazy relationships.
-
I sort of enjoy dubstep in general :yeshrug
-
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Soulja Boy, but Speakers Goin' Hammer bangs.
