I am really bored and need a new jrpg to play. These are the jrpgs that I have finished:
Final Fantasy III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, XIII, XIII-2, XIII-3
Tales of Symphonia
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of Phantasia
Tales of Symphonia I &2
Tales of Legendia
Tales of Xillia 1 & 2
Tales of Vesperia
Tales of Graces F
Tales of Innocence
Persona 3 & 4
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Sword of Mana
Ys 1
Golden Sun 1,2 & 3
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Ni No Kuni
Last Remnant
Baten Kaitos 1 & 2
Star Ocean 3 & 4
Dragon Quest VIII and DQ9
Xenoblade
Demon Souls
Dark Souls 1&2
Bloodborne
Paper Mario games
Bunch of Pokemon games
A bunch of games I forgot to list.
I started Type-0 but it was shit, so i am not going to bother with that one.
Not a jrpg, but I am wondering if the Witcher 3 is worth buying? Not a fan of (eastern) euro jank tbh.

Dont see Parasite Eve there
That was good

Atelier series
Dragon Quest 4-6

Shin Megami Tensei 3/4, Digital Devil Saga, Devil Survivor
Suikoden series
Vagrant Story

There are plenty of other popular series you could try. Take a look at NeoGAF's list of essential RPGs (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=951760) if you need more suggestions.

Nocturne

Star Ocean II
Vagrant Story
Threads of Fate

I haven't played a lot of JRPGs but Dragon Quest 4 and 5 were pretty amazing. Dragon Quest 7 (PS1) was pretty interesting and super long, I liked what I've played of that one.
Earthbound, although flawed mechanically, is another game I would recommend. The quirky world and clever dialog is what makes it worth playing for sure. I've heard greater things about Mother 3 though!

Fourth'ing Vagrant Story
-
Shadow Hearts, Terranigma, Wild Arms series, Soul Hackers, Emerald Dragon, Energy Breaker
-
Resonance of Fate

Isnt dq7 Japan only?
-
The 3DS version, yeah, but the PS version was released in the US too.
-
Isnt dq7 Japan only?
Only the 3DS version. The PS1 version was released in North America.

I see. Looks extremely dated though. Worth it?
-
yes absolutely. it's fun as fuck and is a gigantic game.

DQ7 is more than worth it.
It contains:
- Excellent difficult balance
- Excellent stories and vignettes, perhaps the best the series has to offer
- Is in many ways a continuation of what Horii originally started with Chrono Trigger - he was the original planner and came up with the concept. You could in fact call it a full on spiritual successor given the Toriyama art and Horii involvement due to its incredible use of time travel
- Incredible music
- Incredible battle animations despite the rest of the game looking pretty muddy by today and even yesterday's standards
It has pacing issues (it takes 4 or so hours to get into your first battle, but no worse than anything in say, Persona 4 for instance, which I know you're a fan of; on the other hand, it takes quite some time to unlock the class system, at least 25-30 hours). The translation also is quite dated and not the best, but at least it's translated, yeah?
It's more than worth it and an rpg gaming classic. For all intents and purposes, when talking about the virtue of its time traveling story only, and not the pacing or anything like that, DQ7 knocks Chrono Trigger out the park.
Highly suggested if you can get past its flaws.

It's good, but also very slow and long. You will likely need more than 100 hours to complete it.
Get 4, 5 or 6 for the NDS instead.

3-5 are much better entry points than 7 for sure.
Also, don't buy 4 on ds. 4 mobile is better. ds version in NA and EU is missing a large feature: party talk. mobile version has party talk.

Woah what. Is this on android? I would love to replay DQ4 for the party talk.

Is there any cool weapons, abilities and super attacks in the battle system?
-
there's like 50 different classes, including the ability to transform into various monsters. each has tons of abilities, and there are even cross-class abilities if you level up multiple different jobs. there are tons and tons of different moves.

The 3DS version of DQ7 will never come to the west. :fbm
Maybe SE will bring it to mobile in a few years.

It will probably hold my attention for a few months then.
