Ubisoft occasionally publishh good shit like Valiant Hearts the the South Park games. They're alright.

This is the most impressive thing I've seen of the show. Surprised more people aren't talking about it.

Everything Ubisoft shows starts out looking impressive and then it stops looking impressive when you realize it's all fake and they lied and it ends up being bad.

Ghost Recon looks like sexy hot tacticool action. Granted that they have a pretty shitty track record when it comes to actually delivering the Ghost Recons they demo, but Ubi pretty much owns the open world action thing right now so I'm going to allow myself to get lost in the hype.

Ubigames make for great trailers but then you get the game and it's more or less AAA production values meet that one Highlights magazine that entertained you for five minutes when you were a kid.

Let me emphasize that 'one' here, because all of Ubi's open world designs are more or less the same thing.

The only big open world games they have are Far Cry and Assassins Creed. I guess they both have a bit of hunting/crafting but what else?

And even The Crew. The concept of towers (activate this to activate more meaningless fluff) is in all of their open world things.

I'm not overly a fan of the way ubisoft litters their map with that stuff but this one genre where it bothers me less. Same with Far Cry. Rolling around in an open world in a cod/ghost recon style game is the way that genre has needed to head for a long time, so I'm glad to see someone finally doing it.

Yeah they give lots of side stuff to do but it's always the same repetitive mission type until like 2 or 3 games later when they throw in a few more ideas. Black Flag is essentially an expanded side quest.

Has anyone noticed how much the recent Tom Clancy games have you  fighting Latinos? Seems odd considering how politically correct Ubisoft has always been.
