Probably a DS title that got scrapped ten years ago because of how awful it was, but Nintendo is desperate now so they dig it out of the trash bin and are acting like it's something new they just made.

Eh, I'd say it's about as bad as 2012 or 2013.

Nintendo 2008 is hell-tier shit like Sony 2006 or Microsoft 2013. This year was nowhere close to that.

This one at least finally revealed Star Fox (although announced last year) and the new Zelda 3DS game. (And I guess that new Mario RPG crossover)

Not saying this one was great, I thought it was okay but I didn't have high expectations to begin with. But :-\ at the Animal Crossing Wii U game. The meltdowns are glorious though :lol

Also FE x SMT still looks like fucking weeaboo shit.

It also started with that cool Zelda orchestra. Oh and Luigi's Mansion 2 was announced. :aah

They'll both use a common instruction set or something, come out at the same time, and probably have a mostly shared library. The home console version will probably have more RAM or otherwise better specs, but it'll be the same type of platform (I'm betting on ARM.)

Nintendo is the one who feels the need to center the console around a gimmick. So whatever they would have come up with would be more expensive than the Bone or the PS4. That or take crippling losses (which they kind of did anyway).

I mean, they priced Xbone at $500 and still lost money on each unit, so maybe not powerful but definitely costly.

Eh, Nintendo could have made the Wii U more powerful at the same price point if it wasn't wasting power on energy efficiency and the small form factor. They also constrain themselves to an older and crappier architecture because they want backward compatibility. Tech and money is also wasted on the Pad + streaming.

What the fuck does this even mean? Nintendo could easily release a system with a ton of power. They just don't want to. It's a design decision. Albeit an immensely shitty one.

Low-power has its benefits but not generation-behind low-power.

It would be perhaps fairer to say that Nintendo could be lacking the know-how to use this potential power at once in their games.
Also, Microsoft and Sony are an at advantage in R&D due to their size and portfolio of activities.

TBH Nintendo lacks the know-how to make games fun, but whatever.

:yeshrug Mario Kart 8 looks perfect. I could not imagine a better looking Nintendo game TBH. Even if 4K becomes a "thing" I think it'll still look fucking great the same way SNES games do for me.
