It kinda reminds me of Tiny Tower, except more "gamey" at least early on. Now I just check every couple hours to collect stats.
Placing people with the right stats in the right building to be more efficient. Building for the sake of building. No real difficulty although I'm sure you can manually change that by building too fast or having everyone pregnant etc.
I've put a decent amount of hours in but its losing my interest pretty quickly

Much better initially than Tiny Tower as it isn't quite as "fuck you pay me", but there's a real lack of depth to the game where the best thing is just to check it once a day and build out slowly.

Same here. Once the mechanics of the game kind of reveal themselves the novelty kinda wears off. It's a fun little grind game though and seeing characters from the series is cool. It's a little too easy for radroach infestations that start in empty rooms to spread to others and wipe out most of a base.

I "played" the shit out of tiny tower even when it got boring because it was a huge hit with everyone I knew and we were competing for best tower. It went on for months.
This doesn't seem like it's going to have near that amount of impact. I know one other friend playing and he expressed similar boredom

It quickly became a chore and I dropped it after three days.

I played, overbred my first Shelter which gave me two DO-NOTHING mouths to feed in the early game. Also forgot to recall my wasteland wanderer, so he died. Then I was short on everything and struggling to get items back above baseline, when I realized that my lack of water had rad-poisoned everyone, and I didn't have enough Rad-Away™ to recover peeps.
When I started a second Shelter, it crashed. So I deleted the first Shelter, began a new game in the first slot, and it crashed. And crashed every time I tried to load any game.
So I deleted it.
Oddly, it did make me want to go back and play Fallout 3.
