Is this happening still?
Who all is going? STL_bore where you at?
Where's some good places to check out in Seattle?
Will there be an attempt of a meet up?
I'm trying (last minute) to put together a trip for me and the missus up there for the week.
Demi?

i'm not a gross midwesterner (anymore) but I might be able to make it up that way on saturday or whatever just to say hello. gonna need to be bribed with brojobs to deal with that hellish traffic tho.
-
an I missing something or is this not in Missouri
-
I'm not going to that, Bz. But chances are we will be at PAX South again :)
Also STL is hella confusing. Its in Seattle, not ST Louis

Sorry for the confusion. :lol
Disappointed that none of you guys are going from the sounds. Well if Seattle-bore has some suggestions of places to go I'm more than open to them. We're gonna be staying for a week and have lots of free time to do stuff.

pax is only a 20 or so minute walk from Pony :cody
-

Alright I know now where to avoid entirely the whole trip. :lol
I've already gathered a list of places to check out. Is this a legit list of good places?
Salumi
Paseo
Nook
Tilikum Place Cafe
Seatown Seabar
Top Pot Coffee/Donuts
EMP Museum
Monorail/Needle
Museum of Flight

Nook shut down over a year ago. Morsel took over their space in the U District and has since opened another location in Ballard. The biscuits aren't exactly like Nook's, but still really good.
Paseo is still good since the closure and reopening, but you should also check out Un Bien. They're cheaper and I think better.
I don't go downtown very often. That's for tourists and people who work down there. The neighborhoods make Seattle what it is. I'd recommend Joule, Westward, Walrus and Carpenter, The Whale Wins, Revel, Staple and Fancy, Brimmer and Heeltap, Holy Mountain Brewery, Fremont Brewing, and Reuben's Brews.

Thank you duder for the info. I made most of my list last year when I was thinking about going so it was bound to be out of date. I don't know how the missus will take to the news about Nook. She was looking forward to that place. But glad to know where are other places too, like biscuit bitch.
I'm looking forward to this trip and even more so because the missus is coming along this time.
We're gonna be staying in the queen anne district right off the water. First time using Airbnb instead of a hotel due to there being literally no rooms available for Dev and Prime. I don't know why I'm being asked to sign a lease agreement when I already paid and agreed to terms on Airbnb.

Morsel's biscuits are really good. The people behind Nook just got burnt out and shut down basically right after they were highlighted on Bourdain's show.
And if you're staying in Queen Anne, Holy Mountain is is just down way on Elliot Ave in Interbay/Lower Queen Anne. They're the most impressive, creative brewery in the region right now.
I lived in Queen Anne (upper and lower) from 2004-2006. Loved it back then but it's changed a ton since then. Toulouse Petit is a great brunch spot. We like The Five Spot up on the counterbalance.
-
Holy Mountain sounds godly :D
The 5 Spot sounded like a good place, glad to know it's good. I'll definitely make sure to check out the Toulouse Petit too.
You need any beers/spirits from the bay area that you can't get up there?
-
fuck pax, it's only for perambulatory homunculi birthed from dishes of eczema, but i will show up for drinks and/or brojobs

Nah, I'm good. Just have a good time while you're here and get out of downtown.

Damn!
Ballard is awesome, Capital Hill is awesome, even your stadium and kinokuniya is awesome. Why must I leave this amazing place? I want to call this place home. :'(
Pax sucks, Uber sucks here, parking sucks, but Seattle rocks!
The only game I've been able to play is lawbreakers and that required me to get into cliffy b's rape van.
-
Capital Hill is awesome
Tell us about your new boyfriend. :phil
-
bah, "boyfriend" is such an antiquated cishet cac notion. the new nomenclature is "fisty pal".
-
i've lived in seattle* for four years and have successfully ignored pax every year so far.
* bellevue lol

Well last night here so I'm going back to the hill. Gonna meet some real fisters!

It smells like baby oil from the door.
We ran into Wil.I.am at the Starbucks reserve roastery on pike. Super chill dude he and I started talking about wearables. I was wearing my moto360 and he was wearing his creation. Roxanne didn't believe it was him but I knew.
Also ran into Steve Aoki at the five point while here, but he wasn't approachable.
