Mazda 3 Sedan Sport model
What a stressful experience though, especially for someone whose credit isn't the greatest (didn't get a credit card until last January). Luckily I negotiated enough to get my monthly payments around the average amount, but lord.
Also, dealerships offer fuckall for trade-ins. They're like fucking GameStop.
Love the car though. Glad I got it, it's pretty zippy.

Good choice, Mazda sedans are always fun to drive (probably why there's so many manual transmission models). What else were you considering?
For future reference, the best thing is to get pre-approved for a loan and then go to the dealership at the end of the month. My brother and I once haggled a VW salesman below invoice price (what they paid) because they would still make a little profit from the bonus they get from meeting the manufacturer sales quota. If you have low credit score, the best thing to do is buy a CL car with cash and then treat it as a temporary car until you get your score up.

Congrats! We've been happy with our Mazda.
Enterprise Car Sales will give you exactly the amount of trade in per Kelly Blue Book. They asked how much we thought we would get for our car, and I told them what I saw on KBB, and it matched to the dollar. I mean they advertise that but I had no idea they actually do it lol
I tried to trade in a car to a regular dealership that I bought the same car from 2 years prior for $10K. They didn't even want to give me a grand for it and it was a Civic in the same condition that I bought it. 6 years later they were selling the same year Civics for $10K. Gtfo assholes.

I have a Mazda 6. Mazdas are great cars that require little maintenance (assuming you're not doing something stupid like neglecting oil changes) and get good gas mileage. I've put about 90,000 miles on mine and only had one issue that required a repair (replaced alternator).
Good choice!

You're on the road to adulthood. Next comes the mortgage, then the primal fear and love that children inspire, and finally the young, cute barista looks right past you when she takes your order.
-
Make a car purchase thread and not include any pics, brehs.

Congrats!

Think having a Wii U cancels out the adult part, but congrats dude.
-
It could be worse.
You could be driving around in a Honda Fit. :-*
-
I'll take pics tomorrow. It's a cool looking car
-
We'll be the judge of that.
Still congrats!
-
Why did you decide to go for a new car? I've never understood the urge.
-
Mostly because my old one had a rusted out tire bed that would have costed thousands of dollars to fix and I was over it. Figured I'd just trade it in and get a new one; one that would be relatable for years
-
I think he meant new as in "brand new" (tee hee) rather than "new to you," like as in a quality used automobile. New cars depreciate the second you drive em off the lot.
-
a car is an animal that can be ferocious but also sweet and fun to play with :-*
meow, says the car.
-
Cars say vroom vroom, actually.
-
You made a great choice, I bought a 2014 Mazda 3 sedan last year (after driving Honda/Acura all my life) and have been thrilled with it so far. Much more fun to drive than any of the other cars I looked at in its class, with a stylish interior.

they do not! cars say meow! cars are like that!

Great to see you winning BrandKnew. Seems like just yesterday you were homeless, struggling with women, and out of luck. Now you're stacking Ws. Much respect.
-
When was I homeless ???
-
I must be thinking of someone else. Grats to you too, I guess.
-
I remember when BrandNew was living in a trashcan, addicted to meth, trading truck stop sex for food; look at him now! :rejoice
-
To be fair, owning a Wii U is kind of like being homeless. :dayum
-
Yeah, I mean buying a brand new car, not just BrandNew buying a car.
Every car I've ever bought has been used. My wife's car, she wanted new. I didn't understand why. In Japan though I can at least understand that there are so many smokers that the upholstery is basically ruined in all the used cars. But in general buying a used car in Japan is nearly the same as buying new, because everyone takes immaculate care of their belongings.
-
New cars might make sense if there's something particularly special about the new version or if you just want the full warranty. Some people might be excited about the iOS/Android connectivity that new models are getting.
-
I mostly did new this time around for the summer deal and he fact that I got a really good loyalty bonus for already owning a Mazda
-
How much did you pay and what are your impressions of it after having a few days about it?
I was thinking about one after reading Wirecutter's piece on it(http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-compact-car/) but I know the 2016 models are just starting to hit and not sure if I should wait it out longer? I read somewhere the best time to buy is at the end of the month because the salesmen are looking to hit their monthly bonus or whatever but I'm not sure how true that is. I'm looking for a manual transmission model so it would suck if the few remaining choice models ended up gone by the time I'm ready, though. Can't decide between the Sport or Touring trim package, either. Wirecutter makes it seem like the upgrade might be worth it for the added safety gimmicks and upgrade to the interior.

Wait if BN wasn't homeless, who was it that blew PD under a bridge?
-
Maybe it was a birthday gift. :bolo

There was also that time he fessed up to the whole board about liking underage girls, or when he told us about getting kicked out of a public library due to swamp ass.
Also, I'm pretty sure his stepdad bought him a PSP when he was already a grown-ass man.
Pretty sure that was all StealthFan.
-
Ya and maybe for his birthday his step dad was going to blow him under a bridge but then found out his sister already got him that. A PSP is a decent second option to being blown by your step data under a bridge.

:lol
Being blown by your step data under a bridge would be pretty shitty because after he'd be like 'while my artificial neural network lacks the capacity to let me feel an emotional bond with you, I do have the ability to sense how salty your semen is. It is very salty'.
-
Wait until you buy a new car straight cash :aah

:lol
