I remember way back when Activision made this deal

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/tony-hawk-extends-long-term-exclusive-video-game-licensing-agreement-with-activision-76357687.html

It seemed so smart way back then.

Why couldn't Tony get Neversoft for one last pony ride?

Redboxed it and got some ladybooze for a stream tonight. One way or another this should be fun.

Seriously. These idiots at Robomondo have to be super cheap for them to get three dismal shots at the franchise. Here's hoping this one's the last.

Well, the studio does not exist anymore, for one...

I thought they were still around but only as a COD mapmaker or something  :'(

Semantics but being folded into another studio (esp. Infinity Ward) pretty much is the same, I think.

They are. But effectively they aren't a "studio" anymore. They're a CoD map making shop-house with no chance of making a game on their own ever again.

I've heard Robomodo is a super shitty place to work run by super sketchy people, so yeah that company probably low balls every estimate on a project they give.

Some of the funniest game commentary I've heard in the first 30 seconds.

Graphics and brokenness aside, why did anyone think it was a good idea to assign a new function to the same button you grind with  :-\

Last I knew, a lot of the old Neversoft staff had moved on before they were turned into the Guitar Hero factory.

You could almost excuse Robomodo for having to deal with the board in Shred and Ride...and maybe you could excuse HD as Activision rushing a cash-in.

I still think deciding to go with a $5 DLC for the revert and initially limiting it to just the DLC maps (before they backed off) is Activision's greatest achievement. Also Metallica...because?

Bobby K. didn't like a competing franchise and went straight up slash and burn on everything. With Guitar Hero, they signed pretty obscene contracts with some artists just to keep their tracks out of Rock Band and other potential competitors even when it burned the franchise down the line. The fact this was rushed before the contract ran out reeked of ATVI trying to burn the brand so no-one else could get cheeky and pick it up. Especially if EA decided to bring back Skate (Skate 3 apparently did really good lifetime sales and still has a big fanbase).

And that's not even including seen the new model for Guitar Hero Live based all around Microtransactions. You won't even own DLC when you download it. :sabu

How did Activision even let this game ship in that state? As a full price current-gen game this looks absolutely disgraceful. Poor Tony :(
