So I'm at a gas station today. Dude's card wouldn't work after 3 or 4 tries so the cashier asked him to use the ATM and step aside so the rest of us could be checked out.
This bro....no shit....turns around and says "sand n*ggers and their bullshit" to ME.
I replied "I can't understand how a classy fella like you can't get your natural light and smokes on name alone"
He totally said "hell yeah" totally unaware of my insult.
White people. Stahp.

Racist white people tend to love to include you in on their racism toward other groups. When I lived in Cali it was far more common for white people to engage on racism towards Mexicans than black people and want to include me in their casual race baiting even though I'm black.
As if it was okay because now here's a new enemy for everybody to hate.
The racism towards arabs seems to be on the increase in the US partly because of world events and partly because of people like Carson and Trump.

I just don't get it to be honest.
The only people in this entire world I immediately have disdain for are poor white people who think their race allows them to cast aspersions on others. It annoys me.

I've heard people use the slur sand distinguished black fellow so often but i could never quite make sense of it. Are they going to start calling the Chinese bamboo distinguished black fellows, the Polynesians canoe distinguished black fellows etc? Just doesnt seem like consistent use of the word distinguished black fellow.

IME when white people say racist shit about black people, it's still somewhat in code, or preceded by "I'm not racist, but..." There is, on some level, a recognition that "being a racist" is a bad thing and should be avoided, and an effort by the person saying this stuff to protect their self-image.
The shit I've heard some people say about Arabs/Muslims recently, same as I heard in the aftermath of 9/11, is really blunt and direct by comparison. Just complete insanity about what "the Muslims" believe, what they've done in Europe, what they want to do in the US, how we should just carpet bomb the entire region, etc. Just completely, blatantly dehumanizing. Half of the time I can laugh it off cause it's so outlandish, but only half.

She's aware enough that she knows it's racist to say "distinguished black fellows," but not enough to realize that using a less offensive word to convey that black people are nasty and like pigs is still racist.

When I'm at a post office I use a lot that's staffed pretty much exclusively by people who aren't white, the one white person in line always turns to me to gripe about the post office employees being "lazy" when they don't just blast through a line of people like it's me with a bottle of Mio Energy. I'm starting to feel the need to bring my kippa with me (yes I have one) and put it on when this cliche with a pulse tries to include me in this particular cactivity.

Last week I was at a gas station and the (black) lady in front of the line kept fucking up using the credit card machine. You know how when you slide your card it'll ask you whether you want cash back, you press no and then it asks you to confirm your purchase? Well she must have confused the last step with the cash back step, then would cancel the payment process and have to start all over again while saying "I don't want cash back, stop this shit." The Arab dude kept trying to help her and she said "you damn sand people already charged fraudulent charges on my card in the past and I let it slide, don't mess with me today." As if anyone who was robbed like that would let it slide lmao.
Anyway she must have fucked up the payment process three times before getting it right. The black dude next in line walked up afterwards, turned around to me and said "black women huh. And that's what I'm going home to."

Part of me wonders if its a 'culture wars' thing - that the hard right are scared of demographic and social change... the other part of me wonders if its base economic fears - people making less and struggling to get by, and then taking it out on the Muslims or whatever minority happens to be the popular whipping boy of the day. The Syrian refugee situation - I've never seen so many people who I thought were fairly sane (even the right wing ones), or politically apathetic, so vehemently opposed to taking in refugees. And then my gf suggested that many people like this probably aren't all anti-Muslim, rather they feel that helping the refugees is already dipping into an ever shrinking pot.
Shame these same people cover their ears whenever you mention the words "corporate welfare".

It feels more like those people are probing for a win due to current events. Of course, like any backwards-ass policy the people who support it are pushing it like a rabid dog fucking a tailpipe instead of trying to be a bit subtle and rational. It's already a 2+ year process to get in the country as a refugee and they want to add additional layers of bureaucracy and background checks for widows and orphans who likely don't have much documentation. Not to mention the states refusing to admit any refugees and Trump campaigning as a front-runner with his Muslim ID cards.
Meanwhile, any actual terrorist would get a visitor visa in less time than it takes to name their future virgins.
