Nah, guns, hunting, and violence are for backwater losers.

I have a concealed carry permit but I never take my guns with me. At one point I thought I would want to but then I smartly realized the last thing we need is my ass firing rounds at some other asshole in the middle of the street.haha
Shamefully, I bought one gun just as a fun toy a few birthdays ago. And it's a Russian bolt action rifle from WW2 so it's like the chunkiest piece of crap you can get but it looks cool and has history to it and it feels fun to shoot it every several months. It's kept in a locker at a range with the firing pin removed. The combination of communist manufacturing and yuppie TLC makes me treat it like a potential pipe bomb.Shoot a 1911 and you'll understand handgun love. They're also nice for marksman and competition shooting.
I always hated the idea of the general public being able own handguns though since they serve almost no functional purpose unless you're a cop or a criminal.
i'd quite like to see a ban on all non muzzle loading weapons just to see if south central gangs adopt 18th century line infantry tactics.
A Mosin–Nagant?Da.

Carrying a gun 40 hours a week, I don't really feel the need to have one after-hours.
I do see the appeal of and have no problem with hunting and sport-shooters. My family on my mother's side has a long history of hunting.
The obsessive self/home defence crowd, however..... :derp
I'm not a gun guy at all, but those old bolt-action rifles... There's something to them.A Mosin–Nagant?Da.
Gotcha. Yeah I got no logical argument why they're necessary for the average person except they're fun.A Mosin–Nagant?Da.Shamefully, I bought one gun just as a fun toy a few birthdays ago. Oh no I totally enjoy shooting handguns. My point was rifles/shotguns have a use outside of a range like for hunting so since there's sort of a non-recreational use I can understand why it's important to grant access. This goes into cultural reasons for hunting which I have never done but I'll just assume there's no point going into a discussion of the merits. And yes I'm a hypocrite since I would never buy a gun for anything other than satisfying my broner.
But civilian ownership of handguns makes me uneasy since their purpose is to give a way for people to always have the gun on their person and concealed if they're wearing the right clothing. The only people I've seen seriously argue with me about how important their handguns are to them are the types of guys that make me worried they'll be on the news one day for being unhappy with their job/ex-gf.
I think basically all guns including belt-fed ones should be allowed to be rented and shot at a range but the idea that any regular citizen can own a concealable firearm is just not something I've ever heard a great argument for. And considering the vast majority of murders are committed with a handgun, I think a lot of them could have been prevented if we just made it harder to carry a gun around without anyone noticing.

LONG TIME NO SEE!!

I've got a couple of friends that hunt. I think I might give it a try next year. But I think I would just end up feeling bad if I shot something. I guess I'll find out if it's for me.

I stop in to read from time to time, but I never post anymore. My e-persona has become as scattered as I am lately, haha. But I'm always around when someone talks about guns. Ever vigilant. :punch
Nah, where I live the most likely use for a gun in a home is to get it stolen and then used to shoot a liquor store owner. Live somewhere actually dangerous brehs.
