Bore parents, what kind of holidays did you go on with your 1 or 2 year old?
We're in the process of booking some all inclusive resort so we don't have to do anything like cleaning, cooking, or picking restaurants errr night.
-
you leave them with relatives
-
The only trips we took as a family (at that age) were to beach houses and swim parks.
Beach houses were good because I could bring all the shit I needed to take care of them. All-inclusive resorts are not really the place for kids so young.

I'm sure this was an option in the 60's when grandparents where over 65 and didn't work :gloomy
Otherwise I don't see any grandparent take a two week holidays from work, just so we can go on a two week holiday. Also I think it will be nice to have more time for the kid, when you are not running around managing everything around the house/work etc.

Vacation with a small kid is hard. Unknown environments with a newly walking baby is heart attack fuel. Having the baby's needs covered while traveling was stressful. I recommend a staycation instead. Explore your local area.

You dumb fucker. You forfeited the right for vacations when you had a kid until it can sit there and be trusted to shut up. But you just haaaaaaad to breed, didn't you? You're the sort of asshole that takes a baby into a fucking movie theater, aren't you?
:scust:

It's not funny enough, bratan.

Staycation is so expensive man. Cheaper to go abroad I think
But its def something we will do too

Every parent I know who's gone on a vacation with small children:
"That was a mistake"

We've got different problems bro. I wish I could take a two week vacation. That would never get approved at my job. One week at a time max.

Stay at hone and drink

Cheaper to go somewhere where you have to pay for lodging when you're still paying for that shit at home?
:mindblown

Maybe he's living in one of those extended stay hotels, and he'll be checking out to stay in a cheap motel for his vacation?
-
Aren't there some kinds of boarding options if you don't have relatives that can take care of them?
Just claim them as Syrian refugees.

Booked a 10 day trip to Mallorca, all inclusive.
Got a good deal so might be able to go on a longer holiday in winter (Thailand? *prays*)

Sometimes man I'm not sure if you are serious

:lol I think he's asking if there are daycares so that you and the wife can at least get some alone time.

My wife and I took our daughter to Europe this past Summer. She was ~3 1/2 at the time and did extremely well on the flights (Seattle to Atlanta, Atlanta to Barcelona, Malaga to Brussels, Amsterdam to Seattle) and also had a lot of fun everywhere she went. Flights get better once the kid has their own seat, and make sure to have lots of stuff for them to do.
We left her home with my parents when we went to Japan right after she had turned 2, though.

Have fun! We took our daughter on vacation with us for 10 or so days when she was a year old, and it was great. We've always taken her to restaurants and out in public, so she's pretty well behaved (aka momma don't take no shit).
In some ways, she was easier to manage than when we went on vacation last Nov when she was 3. Granted she got sick the day we left and ended up with pneumonia, but she was definitely more.... opinionated and sassy than at a year old.
