399, not bad, do I need a camera? If so there better be a cheap bundle
I think ill get this
To no one surprise, Yoshida has confirmed that there will be a bundle with Camera & Move. Price not known yet however, Sony is obviously willing to ride hard that 399$ tag.
Though PSVR is working with lesser horsepower in its PS4 base station compared to the Rift's and Vive's gaming PCs, that alone isn't a deal-breaker. Sony and its developer partners have done a solid job squeezing as much graphical fidelity out of the experience as the hardware allows. Eve: Valkyrie, a game we've played on the Oculus Rift many times, looks noticeably lower-fidelity here, but still looks good. Most importantly, the gameplay is identical and, once you jump into space dogfights, you'll forget about details like inferior lighting or shading.
The problem is Sony's PlayStation Move motion controllers and the PlayStation Eye camera that tracks them simply weren't built for today's VR. These were controllers for the tail end of the Wii era – basically obsolete tech by today's standards. If Sony sticks with this setup, we think the company is making a colossal mistake. It needs something much better before the headset's October launch.
The two best PSVR games I played today were Rez Infinite and Eve: Valkyrie. Guess what they both have in common? They use the PS4's DualShock 4 gamepad instead of PS Move.

Only stuff that really excites me is Ace Combat 7, seems a perfect fit for VR. But I don't have a PS4 and won't get into VR before a long time if at all, so...
As per usual, now comes the real question : Content. PSVR is obviously starting at a disadvantage here since it is tied to the PS4. They really need to get off a good start with this if they don't want another failed gimmick to add in the Playstation Museum.QuoteQuoteThe problem is Sony's PlayStation Move motion controllers and the PlayStation Eye camera that tracks them simply weren't built for today's VR. :yeshrug Adding brand new peripherals on top of what they already have ? I half expect Sony to be glad to offer retailers a chance to move the warehouses of Move controllers they have.
Also, but that may be true for Rift and Vive as well, the PSVR setup has cables everywhere out of the wazoo. A bit surprised they went with that but I guess integrating the breaker box in the headset was too expensive.
why should we believe they're gonna do much more with this than they did with 3d on ps3?
Oh God :lol :lol :lol :loli hope those poor non-white people's families were releasedspoiler (click to show/hide)(http://i.imgur.com/X9P6BoH.jpg)[close]
All this negativity here, there is already more games I want to play on PSVR then Xbone or Wii U :lol
PSVR is the product to bring VR to the masses (together with those lame phone things) for now.
Can you play all ps4 games with the headset that aren't vr??

Yeah in cinema mode
I've tried PSVR -- very, very comfortable, excellent head tracking.
But the Move controls :-\
I guess the Vive really spoiled me.
