Seeing positive depictions of people of Irish ethnicity in media (like Irish gangsters) being gunned the fuck down by the Punisher the week of St. Patrick's Day was a nice touch, BTW. V. subtle, the kind of thing that would sail over the head of your average MCU type. Like the ships sailing out of some port town in Eire to escape English agricultural policy / economic imperialism that's literally lethal.

There's a scene with Murky Nelson that has some forced continuity with that show this season. producer 1: ok y'all, last season our big bad was a shallow pandering to post-2008 financial crisis malaise whose similarities to the real people who fucked up the world were carefully garbed in a Gentile in Name Only character background that placed him unequivocally of the community he himself was trying to destroy in the name of more skyscrapers or something.......... i think we need to be fair and balanced with our sources of conflict in season 2

Seems about on par with S1.  Some great fights, nice shots, the main cast does good with their roles, but also a lot of boring stuff dragging it out to 13eps when a lot of these Netflix seasons should be closer to 8-10 eps.

s2 isn't as good as s1. About 70% of scenes are completely predictable after the first exchange between characters. Extremely weak writing.

Felt like less filler than the first season.

Fights are better than ever.

Punisher and Elektra were well-done.

I'm probably the only person who liked the court stuff. It's the core of Daredevil and I was worried it wouldn't be present at all this season, based on the trailers.

Charlie Cox is cute as hell and hot AF.

I prefer JJ too, but mostly just cause the purple man was so damn good.  If season 2 focuses on Nuke its gonna suck.  JJ > S1 DD > S2 DD.  That being said I would so be up for a marvel netflix show every 3 months.  I'd kill for a blade one.

(Somehow I don't think the MCU NYC school system is the envy of the MCU Northeast.) But hey I'm sure the Punisher is an otherwise upstanding member of his community.

Easy made up answer, Stark paid for the rebuilding on NY - dude it very rich.  Punisher doesn't care about stark's money.  Kingpin was stealing reconstruction money which is what initially set off the investigation into him in DD season 1.

Not as much as I originally thought it would be. The comic goes nuts in one direction like twelve issues in, this takes the other option (because it has to) but other than this Lucifer seeming younger and less serious it's kinda the same premise of Lucifer dicking around on Earth and being fascinated by humans that the comic started with.

The episode a couple weeks back had a nice moment where Lucifer and another angel are cracking jokes about how fat Saint Paul was.

Plus I like it as a nice little replacement for Constantine.

Ok, I thought the Punisher arc was good, but not great.  Highlights being the hallway fight in ep3, the rooftop scene and ep4's end, but the rest being kind of boring when Punisher wasn't around much in ep1 & 2.  But since Elektra showed up, been really enjoying this (at ep8 now).  I love how true to the comics the Daredevil/Elektra relationship is.  Feels a lot more like the Bendis comic brought to life than S1 was.  I like that Matt's a dick; feels pretty accurate to his comic character.  Plus the supernatural stuff is great for setting up Iron Fist.

After the wreck of BvS went home and watched DvP, much better stuff.  Only 2 eps left and the season's done a great job co-running the multiple plotlines into a pretty tightly designed season where everything is coming together now.  If they don't fuck it up in the last 2 eps, this season is probably one of my top5 comic book adaptations.  It's just total comic book brought to life fun.  Really hope (and am pretty sure) that S3 is Bullseye.  Wonder who they'll cast since they've done a great job casting all the characters so far.  I actually liked Colin Ferrel's take in the Affleck film.

The worst thing about season 2 is that they botched the Punisher/DD teamup at the very end.

They set this shit up where DD and Elektra are outmanned and there's an army and oh my god how could they possibly survive. In the VERY PREVIOUS SCENE we see Punisher standing in front of a fucking minigun with his finger twitching. Oh no what could help them in this situation?!?!



oh they just fought them all and won.

Come on! They set it up perfectly. Punisher coming in for the save mowing down legions of Hand ninjas would have been perfect. Instead he just shows up and snipes some dudes that probably would have been beaten easily anyway. Lame!

Born Again could work, then Bullseye for S4, a modified Kevin Smith arc for S5, and theN Finish the series with A two season take on Bendis run.

Though I do think they'll introduce Bullseye next season, gotta have an exciting new character each season.

Alright, finished S2.  Some boring bits aside in a few eps, it was a good season.  Better than the first slightly imo simply because it had more plotlines so 13eps didn't feel so stretched out.  Plus Punisher & Elektra > Manbaby Kingpin.

Show is nicely comic accurate, which is really unexpected considering how loose the interpretations of the other marvel movies/tv shows are.  I know a lot of people thought they weren't gonna do:

Karen to eventually come back only to be horribly murdered by Bullseye; They're definitely going to do it since they changed up the Elektra getting skewered scene to Nobu in the show.  Show Karen is kind of the weakest acting link in the show, so it'll be better after she's gone.

It was good shit. Very natural dialogue between the two. I liked the part where DD would call Frank out "That's bullshit Frank!" it didn't feel like SUPER HERO LECTURING VILLAINtm speech but just a guy talking to another guy. Definitely one of my favorite segments in the season.

My favorite scene of this season had to be when Kingpin talked Punisher into becoming a contract killer for him during a conversation that couldn't have lasted 5 minutes. The walking incarnation of justice denied is apparently prone to alliances of convenience, or the writing in this show is just that bad.

Runner up was definitely when E and Caredevil fight through all the underlings (including ninjas :rock) to get the BIG MYSTERY, which is... a giant hole in the ground. They even throw a rock or something down it because apparently a large panoramic shot isn't enough to convey that it's a giant hole in the ground. (As an aside, I read some listicle along the lines of BURNING QUESTIONS AFTER SEASON 2 OF CAREDEVIL and it tried to claim that the giant hole was in fact a plot hole. It wasn't, it's just a giant hole in the ground. Welcome to Caredevil.)

I was more interested in the vampire woman, played by Gower. Wagner really couldn't act.

I never watched Punisher because he was even worse than the giant hole in Caredevil. Irredeemably bad character beloved by cops and permanently aspiring cops.

The hole becomes a mine shaft in The Defenders, and at the bottom is the bones of the dragon which gives them their resurrection juice.

That sounds pretty great, but I had forgotten most of that by the time I snored through the end of DEFENDERS.
