So here I thought, finally a smart move concerning this game that is gonna be so DOA, a long open beta.
But apparently I cant even try the single player without being in a queue :lol
-
Haven't tried the open beta yet. I did try the closed beta. I thought it was okay. Not great. It does a decent enough job of translating the moba to a more action friendly and console space but the balance was out of wack in the beta when it came to certain characters. The real problem is that the game hasn't been able to carve out an identity in a crowed market. Normally I'm against this sort of whoring but they probably would have been better off just calling it Borderlands MOBA edition rather than trying to create a new brand that you then have to sell to everybody.
-
Is this fun for anyone? It seems too light on strategy for MOBA fans and too slow and dull for FPS fans. I don't understand the wisdom behind this game.
-
I tried a story mission and it was really weird and slow. Graphics stylish but not 2016.
Deleted.
Should have gone with a Borderlands Destiny/Division type of game imho, even though I didn't really like Borderlands it has potential (if it had good loot).

open beta available for preload on steam

Hope that means they'll adjust the FOV, along with the crazy amount of effects.
Going to download tonight~

You can get Battleborn, and a bunch of other 2K games, for $15:

Only the $1 tier is worth it, IMO. I mean if you want to pay $15 for something that'll be F2P in a year... go right ahead? :doge
-
Not bad for a humble bundle. Yeah like evolve, the Destiny of this game is free to play. You can't sell a moba for $60 and expect people to bite.

I'm thinking of getting the Beat the Average because I need an update on my copy of NBA2K12 and I'm interested in Mafia II due to enjoying the original. I don't wanna spend $6 more for Battleborn lmao.

Ah, right Mafia is in the average. That isn't too bad. But yeah, the $15 Battleborn tier is not worth the money it's printed on.

Oh I saw this thread up high and thought Battleborn went F2P already
