Title: So Berserk is finally getting a new TV Anime in less than a month

I didn't even know about this since I don't pay attention to anime stuff.  But it's Berserk, finally getting a TV adaptation 20 years later.  Deserves it's own thread.  Starts July 8th, CG-animation because they have zero budget since Berserk is still fairly niche.  Deal with it and be glad anything post-flashback is finally getting animated.

Hirasawa Susumu is credited for the main theme song of the show, but he's not composing the soundtrack or doing OP/ED.

The cgi looks bad but I'll still watch. I want to know what happens next but I don't want to read manga...so this is good for me.

Isn't this one of those things that'll never be finished? I can't go through that again after Hunter x Hunter.

yeah, the manga has never stopped, so the show would have to be One Piece length to catch up, is that about right?

but hells effing yea am I down for another Berserk show. The 90's show is still one of the best anime series I've ever seen, and anything that finally, finally continues that legacy, and does so well (hopefully) will get my attention.

not to get divergent, but hopefully the Musou game that's tying in to this (http://www.siliconera.com/2016/06/10/omega-force-teaser-starting-look-lot-like-berserk-musou/) will be great as I want it to be.

Nope. He's now some sort of god king in the material world as well. Built a shining metropolis called Falconia (yup) out of nothing. The fairy king better have a big fantasy nuke.

His little troupe keeps him from going insane, but he's getting shredded by his armour all the time. It's also slowly consuming him. He's already lost his sense of taste. Not looking good for Gattsu-kun at all. :V

Yeah, they just never look good. But I'm still cautiously optimistic in this case that the show itself will be good.

to be fair he hasn't even been trying, he's been on a boat for like 12 years and his squad is useless ave lilo chan but even they're just leashes so he doesn't go full wild boy
