Title: Why does every person on American Idol sound exactly the same?

In one room, I'm watching the Kings game.  In the other room, people are watching American Idol.

I swore that it was the same person singing every time. The only clue was the judge comments inbetween. Otherwise, it was the same young black female voice.  That empty overdone iamsoloud voice. It was pretty lame.  How do you pick from that? I don't get it.

Maybe that's why no one who wins Idol ever does anything anyway, lol. Besides Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, we don't hear from anyone.
