Definitely going to watch it this weekend. Apparently Nas wrote all the rhymes in the show, and is an exec producer of it.

Super weird to hear Nas rapping in character while watching some dude lip sync. I made it half an hour in and then jaden smith went on one of his dumb tangents and I tapped out

Casting good child actors is tough but when you get it right, you really get it right. Recent-ish examples that come to mind: Abu in Beasts Of No Nation, Arya in Game Of Thrones. Really impressive emotional range.

Plus if the series is planned to go multiple seasons you have to predict if they will turn out hot or not, cause no one want to look at an ugly or average person on TV*.

* does not apply to men over 45.
