I loved Grow Home when it came out last year. I heard a follow up was being made but I totally forgot about it until I saw it mentioned on Twitter just now.
It's out today and from the early info, it's basically the first game but bigger and with more stuff. So if you liked the first you'll probably like this one too

It's 10 bucks.

I enjoyed the first game, although at times it felt a bit janky. Thankfully it didn't overstay its welcome. I could see myself playing a sequel in five years but for now I've had my fill of climbing bean stalks.

This really is just a more fleshed out version of the first game. The world is far bigger (an actual planet with different biome regions) the goal is basically the same (go up, find a thing, go up etc) and there are more "powers". You can scan different plants which do various things and you can spawn them at will. Catapults, bouncey pads, plants that shoot up into the air, vertical stalks to climb, etc. You're far more versatile.
One thing that I noticed though. It feels a little more jankier, but in the bad way. The first had a procedural animation style that looks clumsy and a little hard to control but ultimately it worked as intended. In this one the player character seems to trip up more, the arms and legs get caught up in the geometry more... especially when climbing objects which makes it hard to climb. It's not a huge deal but it;s weird.
Having fun with it just like the first.

I've seen a handful of favorable reviews so I'm considering adding it to my Steam wishlist.

Really didn't like the first game. Played all the way through because I liked the aesthetic but the game was called "fight the controls" the game. Was constantly at battle with the controls and that took away all the fun. Unless this one totally revamped the controls, not even for humble bundle price.

This thread made me try Grow Home which I never got around to. Pretty cool so far.
