From gaf:
It started with Terence Rotolo not being contacted to voice Frank West again, but as time progressed it's gotten way worse. The timer is gone from missions, you don't escort survivors anymore (they just run away when you save them), your health automatically regenerates, you get the overpowered exo-suit from the start, and combo weapons are being given out like candy now.

so this one'll actually be fun now? :doge
just kidding. sucks that capcom is determined to turn all their franchises into the exact opposite of what fans want.
-
Blame all the casual fucks who whined since the first game

Let's be honest though: Timer does nothing but move the game forward. Removing it does absolutely nothing beyond pissing off "classic" fans. "Oh you're Lv. 50 and did the first two story missions? Now you gotta wait two real hours for the timer to hit noon so you can continue the story!" :doge Fuh otta here with that bullshit.
Sandbox mode is the best mode but it really needed some tweaks badly. DR2/OtR nearly had it right but it needed a better "hook" for the Sandbox beyond "just mess with zombies until your bored." Infinite Mode from DR1 was nearly that but the hunger mechanic went down too fast for most people.

Sound awesome :patel

Never really liked the timer, so I'm glad it's gone.

Escorting survivors is annoying as fuck...but it's the goddamn gameplay and challenge.
Like, DR was challenging because there was annoying frustrating shit that was pressuring you. But at the end of the day the pressure is what made the game intense and rewarding when you accomplish things.
Also the timer has been so lax since DR1, I don't really understand how people ever had problems doing all the stuff they wanted. As long as you're constantly moving and not wasting time just dicking around smashing zombies, you've got time for pretty much ever quest/main story in one playthrough and it keeps a good pace so there's one thing after another without much dead time.
The worst part of Dead Rising is killing zombies because the combat is so shallow. Sounds like DR4 is getting rid of everything and just a "go kill zombies in a city" simulator, which sounds like it'll get boring after about an hour.

Juggling time sensitive activities was the best part of the franchise. Won't play.

Dead Rising was so cool before they turned it into Assassin's Creed.

3 was the perfect compromise IMO. If 3 was "too hard" you were just terrible. It was already nerfed but still kept the tension with the timer. There was no need to make it easier
