You should go early in the season when bass are running, it's impossible not to catch some at that time.

Thing is I spent like ten thousand hours here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackfish_Lake_(Saskatchewan) growing up and only went fishing twice because my family isn't into it.

Ocean fishing was fun when I was trying to minimize the harm I do to animals with my existence.

Lake and river fishing is for dudes who want an excuse to drink beer for 8 hours but are too chicken to tell the the people in their life to fuck off and leave them alone for 8 hours so they can drink beer.

Fly fishing is for dudes who wanted to be artists but could never work up the courage to unburden themselves of traditional gender roles and normative masculinity.
