why is college football so huge in god's country? serious questionWhy do people like any sport? Entertainment, competition, etc. I think there's often an extra factor with college sports in terms of feeling like a part of the university whether you attended or not. There are a lot of people here who didn't go to Michigan but grew up fans since their dad went there and was a fan. Or people who enjoy the way the sport dominates the city in terms of events, restaurants, parking, etc. It becomes a cultural thing depending on where you live. If you've been to Ann Arbor you know how U of M just dominates the city in various ways. People want to be a part of that. I'm sure it's the same in other cities that house major universities.
and more importantly, why do adults follow it? allegiance to their alma matters? good look at prospects (i guess a comparable would be the junior hockey leagues in Canada which also have a massive following)?
im genuinely curious
nfl is cool tho if i hadn't just started law school i probs would've joined the bore league

Peppers is the best defensive back I've seen, since me :doge
You didn't answer the question. Wake me when Peppers balls out against the small amount of good teams Michigan plays this year. He's good at a lot of things, but wasn't really great at anything last year on defense. Well he's a great tackler, I'll give him that.No excuse for him not to be competing for national championships every year with the amount of talent they're able to recruit.
Brehs...I know Fournette isn't playing but man LSU is trash. Miles fucked up by bringing Cameron back. This has to be the end of the line for him.

Boosters need to get Scam Scameron the fuck up outta there. And tell Les he's not allowed to have anything to do with the offense or clock management. basically they need a co-head coach. if not in name then at least in practice. What if they fire him and hire Lane Kiffin. :doge
I still don't think they should get rid of Les. Fuck around and end up like Tennessee and Nebraska outchea
Recruiting alone won't win games, but combined with good coaching you can win at an elite level. You didn't answer the question. I know it's cliche but this is spoken just like somebody who has never played ball. Just because you recruit well don't mean you will win shit. Ask Cooper who had bosses at Ohio State the whole time I was in college but never won shit.

And tell Les he's not allowed to have anything to do with the offense or clock management. basically they need a co-head coach. if not in name then at least in practice.I think this is less likely to happen just because LSU just has such a good talent base in Louisiana. Nebraska and Tennessee are pretty barren when it comes to talent, and need to compete harder with other schools to recruit out of state players.

prematurely crowning Deondre Francois the new leader of college football #blackexcellence
first of his name. heir apparent to Jaboo's vacated throne. he who dancesin firebehind a poor offensive line

Louisville is gonna kill us. By 50 or more. I'd bet $10,000 on it being by 50+, but nobody around here will take the bet. :doge
Man MSU getting annihilated. I'm still not sure what to make of Wisconsin though.
Agreed. He should have been fired at some point but doing it after that game's weird ending...nah.
Will be interesting to see where Miles ends up next...and whether he's stupid enough to bring Cameron with him.
Michigan isn't firing a coordinator anytime soon. Les will take a HC job, no way he plays second fiddle. Mississippi St, USC, maybe even Baylor.
Apparently LSU is making a run at Herman. Do it so my man Charlie Strong has less heat on his back :tocry
Yea...it's over.It sucks, but they keep on doing dumb shit and to me that's just a sign of bad coaching.
:snoop
Lots of promise this year, if they had been solid and made it to year 4 he would have lasted awhile IMO. Lots of young players got good experience. Oh well. Hate that someone is gonna come in next year and win immediately with Strong's players.
big 12 misery continues :rejoice
I understand Strong has to go. But the way he was treated after the game on Saturday was disgusting. Fuck Texas and their boosters.
B1G tears.
Darnold is the fucking truth holy shit.
