Bore impressions only thing that counts
-
I have to hunt one down for my son because his granddad want to buy it for him.
-
whatever the wife believes breh
-
Just got back from gamestop with a bundle and Batman. I'll post impressions if I get to use it tonight.
whatever the wife believes breh
I wouldn't buy it with my money.
-
I decided to hold off buying one until there is another batch of games available.
-
Was just kidding, looking forward to your impressions.
-
Is it even PC compatible? The other systems are probably a better choice for porn.

Batman? Let us know when you have impressions of actual games for this thing. :-\

No point. The game apparently censors the screen if you try to look at some tits and pussy.

Impressions:
Setup was about half hour by myself. From unboxing, untying twist ties, hooking up wires and adjusting the headset. The headset is much lighter than it looks like it would be. He played for 2 hours straight with the headset on. No neck fatigue or noticeable red areas on his head when he took it off.
It's neat to see what the person is looking at and doing replicated on the TV. You don't need the TV to be on.
The equipment is easily and quickly calibrated.
Most games(that we had time to try) can be played sitting down.
Non VR games look great and look like you are playing on a big screen. Much bigger than the 32 inch he would normally play on.
It easily shits all over the EYE and Move crap from the PS3 days.
I'm pretty impressed so far and we didn't even get to half the games it came with. :obama
-
sounds like shit
-
It's fun for short novelty experiences and that's pretty much it.
Also another big problem is sound. Using a vr helmet is visually immersive, but the audio coming out from speakers kills the immersion. Using big headphones gets annoying due to the extra wires AND weight on your head. For me, it was a problem.

I'm hoping that my wireless PS headphones will fit well together with the VR headset.

I was under the impression you cannot use wireless headsets with PSVR ? I may be mistaken though.

Q: Can I use my PULSE wireless headset or other wireless headsets with PS VR?
Yes, but you should connect the wireless headset using a standard 3.5mm wired cable. A wireless audio connection will not work with PS VR.
-
Yeah, that's bullshit. I hope it's a thing they can fix.
-
Job simulator is pretty neat for a while. Not much re playable value though.
-
I have to hunt one down for my son because his granddad wants to try it out.
fixed
-
So RE7 is 100% playable via PSVR. That's fairly big news as far as VR goes.
-
Is it just me, or has all the hype for the PSVR pretty much been deflated post-release? Seems like nobody is really talking about it already.
-
It was the same for the Oculus and the Vive. I don't know anyone who has purchased a PSVR and there aren't many interesting VR titles on the horizon. I'll probably sit this generation out.
-
Always the same with those add ons : beyond launch lineup it's hard to have a steady stream of actual games. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but even on the Wii and WiiU (or Kinect), most devs didn't work hard to do something of the gimmicks despite the fact it was built in the millions of units sold.
I guess RE7 will generate some discussions and sell a few units, GT too, and it may convince a couple of publishers to try (though I don't know if VR will translate well to other genres, vehicle simulation and low action first person horror might be the two best fits) but I have a difficult time it will do anything more than survive at best.

I had a PSVR bundle pre-ordered through Amazon. Grabbed one moments after they were available for pre-order. I eventually cancelled it due to the GiantBomb stream and just how poorly it tracked the controllers.
I decided heading to the Portland Gaming Expo was a better use of my money than PSVR. I even saw a guy there desperately trying to sell his VR headset, :lol.
-
That's odd. Having spent some time with it, I was impressed by how well the controllers were tracked. Job Simulator is fantastic with it's tracking in the full game.

Seems like the new hype wave is the PS4 Pro. Waiting for the wave of disappointment to roll off of that one. :doge
-
I tried it at a buddy's house...by far the most polished lineup of any VR platform but still, it's seated VR...or seated VR with really bad motion controls... :donot

Including the latest obsession of getting a SSD hard drive for it.
I want to get a PS4 Pro but I'll be waiting a few weeks till nearer Christmas, and see what the machines are like in a home environment.

I'm also waiting for people to beta-test it and see if there's A) any hardware flaws and B) if it's actually worth it as someone without a 4K monitor or TV. I slapped a 2TB HDD into my PS4 earlier this year and I feel like I'm good for now. Certainly don't feel like re-downloading a bunch of shit anytime soon, either.

Thinking about picking this up after I get my PS4 Pro and now that PS VR is actually instock. So I buy the headset, what else do I need? The PS4 camera, right? Then I have 1 PS3 move controller that I think still works. Can I use that? Do I need 2 move controllers?

Anybody know when the physical edition of Rez Infinite is gonna ship? Friend's boss has a PSVR at their office and that's the one game I'm desperately wanting to try (what with it being one of my all-time favorites)...
