Title: If a police officer said on the phone "a mexican won't know the difference"

while taking down a statement about a theft, would he keep his job?

Just wondering as an officer just told me "a polish guy won't know the difference" between an expensive bike or not when I was filing a report about my bike being stolen (she didnt know I was Polish until later).

I already wrote two letters of complaint (internal police complaint and independent external) as well as one to the Polish embassy.

It's their word versus yours but if this happened in the US and you had it recorded with the officer clearly stating their full name and social security number then no I don't think anything would happen. I respect that you didn't view it as just one bad apple and are at least adding one more complaint to their record.

In the US the polish cops would laugh at Prem though so his mileage may vary.

No it isn't in Poland ofc haha, the call is recorded I presume as I called them.

I don't care if its just words, people like that shouldn't work in a public office imho.

Ya he would lose his job just because it is well known that Mexican's are great thieves and part of being a good thief is knowing value.
