I think Uncharted 2 is a rock solid game of the generation type game. I think the rest of them have kind of been slightly over-rated. They are all good games. But not quite at the hype level the internet has attached to them for me.
But then I feel the same way about The Last of Us so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Last of us is my fav last gen game but its also very different from these two.
-
I think both were weak.
TR's "supernatural" element > ROTR's "supernatural" element
UC1 & 2 "supernatural" element > UC4's "supernatural" element
Baba Yaga was much more in-line with what I wanted ROTR to be like.

The supernatural stuff in UC1 took me by surprise, dont even remember what it was in TR1

watching the credits to rise of tomb raider now; was a pretty fun game. a lot bigger and more interesting than the last one (which i also really liked). i still fell like the game had a lot of untapped potential bc it's not challenging at all. they give you a lot of combat options, but they're op and enemies are dumb so fights only last a few seconds. and none of the puzzles are very compared. still overall a very fun game.
anyone wanna play coop on ps4 w me btw?

I didnt bother with the Tombs in the first one but these are really good, like proper old school tombs raider puzzles.
I love the whole feel of UC too thats why I keep playing it, just a feel good game.

Eh I can't agree and really it's because the actual aiming and gunplay in Rise sucks. Supposedly it's better on the PS4, but even now it feels sluggish and general encounter design just feels kind of lame. Not to say UC4 is Vanquish level shit, but it's gunplay feels a lot better. I also feel unlike 3, they knew when and when not too throw enemies at you. Making many of the encounters a bit more thrilling. Also unlike Rise, the playfield does not always become smaller anytime a gun fight breaks out. Pretty much every gun fight in Rise doesn't take advantage of the verticality like it should. UC4's environments are bigger and put an emphasis on really moving around which makes them more exciting.
Also quite frankly the story of Rise sucks and is filled with unlikeable characters, including Lara.
I mean I do like that Rise has far more exploration and feels like a bit more of an adventure, but I really think they should have doubled down on some survival gameplay. It plays too safe and feels like a safe modern shooter with some nice play forming.
UC4 is the safe shooter, but it's really perfected it's craft.
