So now Cuba will exit the 1950's? Will we get a Camelot year(s) before they fast forward to the 90's and then modern times? :doge

Raoul is holding the bar still. While it is only symbolic, Fidel's death will maybe hurry things a bit to transition Cuba in a more palatable autocracy.

Castro was a friend of his family, and carried the coffin of Pierre Trudeau.
Not that it makes the statement better, but heh...

It's even worse when you add it to his 2013 response to the question "which nation do you admire most":

"There's a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime."

Stan for single-party dicatatorships brehs.   :derp

edit:  Then again, when democracy in 2016 has given us Trump and Brexit.........

Democracy is overrated.  I'm smart enough to survive in a totalitarian state.

I mean, I voted for him in 2015, in spite of the massive pile-up of stupid shit that he had said.  It's just.....you get that question.....and of 200-some-odd countries on this earth....you pick China.  And highlight their dictatorship in your answer.

And then, EVEN WORSE...halfway through his gawdamn sentence....he recognizes that he fucked up.....and proceeds to project his admiration on to Harper:

"I mean there is a flexibility that I know Stephen Harper must dream about of having a dictatorship that he can do everything he wanted that I find quite interesting"

 :goty2

Nay nay, my friend, you are the one fantasizing about authoritarian power here, no matter how much Harper abused the public trust.

You live in a country with universal health care, so you're basically already in one. Rip freedom.
