The team was originally going with 'binary' but I, being forward-thinking, said we should make it an integer (enumeration) just in case there will be multiple (and the rest of the team agreed to that). How many progressive virtue signaling points do I get for that?

The tone of the OP suggests that it didn't bother you much, but if they adjust the application at your suggestion then I'm sure future gender queer applicants would appreciate it. Might seem small, but these things do matter.
