Title: Anyone ever have this problem when falling asleep while watching TV...
Post by: The Fake Shemp on January 25, 2007, 11:00:56 PM
... where you begin to dream and elements from whatever you're watching seep into your dream?  I was watching Aliens and the next thing, certain things from the movie began materializing in my dream.  Like disgusting fat alien things that I had to kill with that lift thingie.

I leave on a combination of American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Boondocks, Family Guy, Simpsons, Southpark, and The Venture Bros. set it to random and sleep.

So far the only ones that really seep in are ATHF and Venture Bros. I remember talking with meatwad and having a bbq it was hilarious.

Yeah, this happens to most people.  It's a barely conscious state of mind, so you're incorporating the real world with your imagination, per se.  It's actually kinda neat to think about after you're re-awaken by your stupid boyfriend that snores like a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.   :hump

That happens to me sometimes, too. It's very interesting.

Is this even possible? I've never even had one.

I can influence my dreams by thinking about something before I go to sleep.  Dreams weird me the fuck out.

No that has never happened to me.  I have, however, fallen asleep during school lectures and not know because parts of the lecture would carry on in my dream.

Haha yes, that happens all the time to me.  It probably helps that I can rarely fall asleep without having the TV on.  It's like just laying there without lights or noise causes my mind to race and I get fidgety... unless I'm really really tired.

THe only one I recall was when I was in college I fell asleep watching Pulp Fiction. The dvd ended, returned to the menu and repeatedly played that "Ah ah AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" song over and over.

Well my dream was basically me destroying an entertainment center with a chair, and baseball bat trying to make that song stop. When everything was destroyed and it was still playing as loud as ever, I started to cry and woke up.

wet dreams : (

i've had plenty, they're not bad... it's just i'd rather masturbate and go, rather than do it in my sleep
